Author has written 12 stories for Young Adult, Romance, and Fantasy.

So Back At One. Let's be honest and just admit that is a pretty strange pen name. But considering how many times I've changed my pen name over the years/created new accounts, it was only a matter of time before I finally used a song title.

Back At One by Brian McKnight is the latest addition to my Favorite Songs list. Or at least one of them. Give me a few months/weeks/days and I might change my pen name to "Come On Get Higher" by Matt Nathanson. Maybe. But for right now, I like the pen name Back At One. Makes me thing of starting over, starting anew, embarking on a new journey. And that's about as philosophical as I can get. Sorry to disappoint.

Now for all practical purposes, for intensive purposes, whatever you want to call it. . . call me Dussie. I'm a teenage writer living in Washington State and I the first time I actually wrote a short story was some 25 page thing in the second grade. Then I kind of ditched story writing for song writing until the sixth grade where I fell back in love and wrote a 50 page spiel called "Storm Lullaby". Anyways, I've flipped back and forth with song writing and novel writing. It seems whenever I take a break from one I'm doing the other and the inspiration doesn't stop until I flip again. Which is great for me but awful for my computer which is bogged down with so many story ideas and lyrics. So yeah.

I like crime dramas and chick flicks, comedies and action. I love chocolate and apples, french fries and chili. I love tortillas, beef jerky, almond rocca, and brownies. I enjoy dancing, free climbing, walking, and relaxing. I love novels that are over 300 pages long or novel written a hundred years ago that are shorter than 200. Currently, my favorite movie is the film adaption of "The Inheritance" by Louisa May Alcott and my favorite song is a toss between Back at One by Brian McKnight and Come On Get Higher by Matt Nathanson.

I don't listen to the radio or music I haven't heard before, so Pandora is something I frequent often to "expand my horizon's". I hate having money because I never know what to do with it and I love old cars. I love guitars and people who can play them along with pianos and people who can play those. I love horses, wolves, dogs, tigers, and anything small and adorable. I like kids and best friends, rain and warmth, jeans and sweatshirts, cowboy boots and hair ties.

My favorite authors are probably the unpublished ones on FictionPress and I don't have a single favorite poet. I'm not into the classics nor am I into the present, I like to be wherever my mind wants to be.

I love friends and people, loud music and silence. So if you think we have anything in common, my contact info is below.
