Author has written 26 stories for General, Biography, Romance, Love, Life, and Nature. My name is Rachel Thorlund and I am a fifteen year old high school student who writes incessantly whenever possible. I like to think of myself as a poet rather than an author or mere writer. My works are heavily influenced by the great writers, and my favorites, Sylvia Plath, Vladimir Nabokov, and Ian McEwan. I read more than write, which I think is fine since I'm still young. I enjoy writing about what I don't know, rather than what I do know, but I still do write poems and stories where I take something personal into my words. I honestly can't go a day without writing or reading, and I would love to pursue a career in writing when I'm older. Favorite books: Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath Atonement by Ian McEwan Franny and Zooey by J.D.
