Author has written 2 stories for Supernatural, and General. (raises eyebrows, puts down teacup) Oh, hello darling. What are you doing here then? To learn about me? Oh how lovely.
Past Pennames: Christina Marlowe, C.S. Marlowe. Sex: Yes please. No, no, my apologies, that's a bad joke at the best of times... female. Though I've picked up an unfortunate habit of acting like a gay man from a dear friend. I do actually say 'darling' very often in person. I'm trying to acquire the camp little hand gestures as well just because it's so fun. Why yes, yes, I do pretend to be someone I'm not. Much more fun that way. -refills teacup- Age: Really darling, that's an immensely impolite question you know. -smiles coyly- Take a guess why don't you? If you're right I'll give you a sugar cookie. And yes, if you say anything above twenty-five I'll be forced to shatter this bloody teacup and thrust the shards into a sensitive part of your anatomy. Why no, it's not just a prop darling. Currently Writing: My time is divided between a historical action/drama story entitled The Vampire's Daughter and a nameless ghost story referred to only as the Story. Details are below. The Vampire's Daughter A complicated, rambling epic set in the early Victorian era and starring a secretive vampire named Isis and her young human companion, Tom Harland. Plus, there are not one but two secret organizations involved, a romantic subplot later on and a fair dose of mystery. Bit of everything to be honest... The Story A less complicated, less rambling non-epic (only because it's still in progress though, my works always run off and start being epic when I don't want them to) set in the present day and starring the sixteen-year-old Carrie Mayfield, who has been able to see ghosts since the age of three, Daniel Harper, a boy who apparently doesn't exist, and Catherine Mallory, who was unfortunately murdered seventy years ago but doesn't yet seem to have figured it out, as she likes to follow Carrie around. In The Future: I have a vague plot forming in the back of my mind, but emphasis on the 'vague'. Currently all I really have is a headstrong young woman, a secret branch of the government, and a secret war that's been going on since the beginning of time, right under humanity's noses. Urban fantasy darling, seeing as that's my strongest genre. It'll be set in the modern day and it isn't likely to be very similiar to my current work. I'm new to the world of writing full length novels, so once I've finished The Vampire's Companion I'm planning to have a run about and jump in and out of different ideas and settings. Apart from anything I don't want to be typecast as a certain sort of author (though if I was typecast as a modern Gothic writer, I'd be too flattered to try and deny it) so I plan to be fairly diverse in what I write. Likes: Vampires darling, naturally. They're the focus of the story I'm writing on this website. Also, I have some lovely teacups with pictures of hearts on them. I drink tea mainly so I can use them. I love to read fantasy, romance, supernatural, comedy, historical, mystery, horror, thriller and action/adventure, and I write pretty much the same sort of thing. I couldn't live my life without strawberry jam, and allow me to assure you if I didn't have some, the world would stop. I'm very fond of Blackadder but the world wouldn't stop if I didn't have it. And like all authors, I love praise and have to pretend to enjoy constructive criticism. Hates: Ooh, a good deal of things darling. Things that aren't pretty, for a start, and people with no fashion sense. I simply can't stand that awful series Twilight. Real vampires pour moi, please, not so-called 'vegetarians.' Spiders make me scream and it's very possible that if I ever find one in my bedroom, I will migrate downstairs until said arachnid dies of old age and can be swept out. You know, I may have to marry someone who isn't scared of spiders simply so I won't end up living in the kitchen. I don't appreciate people without a sense of humour. And I currently hate my rubik's cube because I just can't do the darn thing. Hmm... oh, and I don't like people who insult me. Whether it was by accident or design. (narrows eyes) What did you just say about me darling? (Smashes teacup. Advances on you.) Uncommonly Asked Questions: 1. Where did the two parter novel on your profile go? The further along I went with it, the more and more difficult it became to write. The fact that part two was first person made it especially difficult, as the narrator was missing out on a lot of extremely important information, which made it difficult to tell the story. There's also the fact that there were issues with chronology that I didn't find out until chapter ten. For instance, within the story, in 1837, they disembark at Southampton Docks. That's quite impressive when you consider the foundation stone was being laid four years later. The edited version is below, entitled The Vampire's Daughter. 2. DAMN YOU WOMAN! WHY DO YOU UPDATE SO SLOWLY?! Because I get writer's block! Sheesh, people nowadays... 3. What is the meaning of life? Raspberry soup. 4. If I pay you, will you go away? Frankly darling, depends how much you pay me... -- Harriet Usher. | |||||
