About me:

My name is Jennifer Braunstein. I am an art student and majoring in sequential art and concept design. However, my major passions lie in music, writing, and art. Story writing first began for me in sophomore year of high school when I began writing a story named Kyrii. This story would prologue another story about a boy confined in a world he didn't want to live in. That's where Tobias and Royal Clementines Black seeded. The trilogy is a pseudo-autobiographical story of my own life but in a more dramatic and entertaining way. The emotions are real, the thoughts are real, the events and actions are not. The last of my stories are following a tradition in futuristic worlds where anything can happen. Morpheus and Genesis Factory are children of a growing writer with growing interests. I hope something of what I write interests you.

Everything I write is thoroughly researched, and almost all of it can be referenced online, in a book, or by a person. I prefer and always have preferred nonfiction and believe it is a catalyst to learning and understanding the world around us better than any fiction can explain.

And so it begins...

I have been writing a storyline for a few stories for a couple of years now, and I an currently and officially going to be posting them here until I can finish the damn things. This should motivate me as long as I get some feedback. Otherwise, there won't really be a point in posting.

Stories are as follows:

Kyrii- The 1st and original book in the trilogy. This story is actually complete but due to the defiance of some asshole I dated (no bitterness here hahaha) I will never retrieve this story and am therefore having to start from the beginning on it. This story as well as Royal Clementines will be the first two stories worked on. COMPLETE AS OF 8/15/09

Plot: Torin goes to a private Catholic school, and finds the entire thing mundane and rather livable. The relationship she holds with her father is the main bane in her life, and it's not even that aggravating. Then, a new student by the name of Kyrii (Kai-ree) catapults into the scene and sends her reeling over his questionable character and background. This story embodies the framework for Royal Clementines and Rubber Cement.

Rubber Cement- The 2nd book in my trilogy series and least evolved.

Plot: Tobias recounts his childhood through flashback chapters, and the story evolves into the introduction of key characters that will eventually and utterly end his normal existence. He is forced into a life of severe debauchery, causing one attempt after the other to escape and gather up the remains of his normal self.

Royal Clementines- The 3rd book in my trilogy series and main focus for this account. This story has been holed up and slowly worked on for the past five years, and finally I will be writing it out in full form.

Plot: Breaking meets three boys, intermixing with a fast track life of seedy character encounters after a series of mishaps. With each meeting of the boys, she becomes entranced with the pasts they have written for themselves and the interconnection between each of them. This story follows and also continues with Tobias's journey to maturity.

Morpheus- A separate story altogether. This one evolved somewhat after rereading some old Animorph books. K.A. Applegate was my whoring delight when I was younger and have found much influence from her. From that, I have created a story that's placed in a sci-fi/utopian genre, which I never would have chosen off of a shelf in the library.

Plot: The human race began to realize the destruction they were causing to the animal kingdom. With this knowledge, a small group of scientists created a research project known as MORPHEUS. Unborn children were genetically altered so they had a core, or animal creature that they were enabled to morph into and possess the ability to revitalized the lost organisms of this world. However, these rights were given to some who used the abilities to become criminals and miscreants, then creating chaos. The government banned the research and set out with an elimination group known as MECA to destroy every last human with these powers. Jed has such powers, and with them, he continually lives as a vagabond. However, with his hidden powers, he also hides many secrets he himself has yet to understand himself. With his brother, Halle, and best friend, Desoto, they wander through Colorado in search of resolve.

Genesis Factory-A story created from a dream. ON HIATUS

Plot: Three conartists are finally captured, sending each their separate ways and only one of them getting the real sentence for his crime. Harmon returns to the outside world and sells coke at a Carl Jr.'s, dosing up small children for kicks. Then, June returns with a disturbing new look and information on a super race of humans known as Moses's Children. The three are collected together again as they attempt to uncover the reason behind the disasters throughout the country, ultimately tying June in with it.
