Hey... wuzzup? Lol, hey everyone! I'm Black Sparrow!... Just ... in case you didn't read what my penname was already... XD

For those of you wondering about my penname, it was the first thing that popped into my head when I came to register. I liked it, I used it, if you don't like it, get over it.

Real name? Not telling... for now. When I actually publish a book, I might tell you. Again, don't like it, get over it.

Age? Haha, I'm over 13, I'll give you that much.

Location? Somewhere in the same world as you.

Description? I'm a chick. I'm not saying anything else.

My favourite colours are lime green, scarlet, blue and black (even though it's actually a shade).

My favourite T.V shows and things to watch are all anime. For those of you who don't know what an anime is, I feel you haven't lived. Anime is a Japanese animation for those of you who didn't already know. My favourite animes are DeathNote, Chobits and even though it's sometimes classes as a normal cartoon (seriously, which idiot did that?!) Avatar: The Last Airbender. Avatar: The Last Airbender is my major obsession.

As for reading, I like J.K Rowling's Harry Potter series, the Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer (though I believe it became overrated once the movies started coming out...), I like everything I've read so far by Jackie French and Cornelia Funk. I have quite a long 'to read' list and it only seems to be getting longer with time... unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time to actually do reading between schoolwork, my social life and writing. At the moment, I am reading Animal Farm by George Orwell.

I love fantasy, romance and tragedy. I am also in love with stories that involve and display a strong bond between siblings, particularly a brother and sister. I love to read things that stir up deep emotions - things that really do make me laugh out loud, or gasp, or cry, or let a smile spread across my lips. I love to read things that are moving and things that can change a person. Poetry is not my forte, though I do enjoy writing it - but I read a lot of it instead and I don't count myself anything compared to some of the other people out there.

Ok, don't expect any stories to actually get posted by me. I aim to become a real author and so far, so good. Therefore, I'll only post little things that aren't going to get me very far in the real world - but practice makes perfect... too bad there's no such thing as perfect. I might also post stories that I was aiming to become published books that didn't end up doing so well. Nonetheless, they will be to my best standards. And in advance, I thank anyone who reads them if I post them.

I don't consider myself a harsh reviewer. I try not to be because I feel that it can do some damage to someone's ego and self-esteem. Even the harshest criticism can be said in a way that is going to offend someone very little - that's what I aim for when I review, so if I do review you, that's what you ought to expect if I give criticism... which may not be unless you ask me to.

I like helping people. If you want me to review your story, providing it's not already majorly long when you've asked, I'll definitely do it and give you reviews and any criticism you might need.

I'd also appreciate it if you reviewed me as well. I want people to give me harsh reviews if they feel I need one. I want to improve my writing skills, and I've learned to cope with harshness. I know I'm not the best author, but I'm aiming high and I know I can't get there without a bit of a push. So, I grant you my permission to PUSH ME TO MY LIMITS! (But please be honest - don't go making things up to bag me out.)

When I write, I like to listen to music. Music is good for putting me into the right mood or inspiring me. For example, if I'm trying to write a romance scene, I'll listen to some love songs, or if I'm writing something tragic, I'll listen to something sobby. Yes, music influences me greatly, and I choose to listen to it so that I can write the scene better. There's a tip for anyone who likes and wants to write; if you want to write something, get yourself into the same mood you're writing in. ;)

Writing talents: punctuation, spelling, grammar, writing from third person point of view and being able to express what all of the characters are feeling very well, writing in past tense.

Writing flaws: picking up my own mistakes (I tend to miss quite a few), writing from first and second person point of view (I start too many sentences with 'I' when writing from first person point of view, and writing in second person just takes me too far away from my comfort zone. It's really not my preference for reading either), writing in present or future tense.

At the moment, I am working on two different pieces which I wish to publish; ‘Evergreen: A Fallen Star’, the first of the Evergreen saga and ‘The Garden Swing and Other Stories’, a collection of short-stories I am writing. I will let you know when I’ve published something and I hope you will read it. Thank you in advance.

For E:AFS I have just finished writing it, and have just finished the first round of editing it. I have 7 short stories written for The Garden Swing. There was supposed to be another one, but I decided I didn't like it enough to place among potential-publishing material, so it's now the first chapter of a small story here I've named, 'I'll be Waiting Just for You'. Can somebody give that some reviews please because I'd very much like to continue it :)

Btw, steal my ideas and I KILL YOU!

So that's about it. That's me for ya. Hope you all like me - I like making friends, not enemies.

That's all for now,

Black Sparrow
