Hello, how are you?

Update: (3/11/11): BLM SISTER SITES

So I’ve been thinking about starting some new projects similar to BLM, which takes the community (of the world!) and lets people send things in and be a part of it. I won’t tell you a whole lot about either, except:

a. One is similar to BLM and can probably just go up on fictionpress (I’m still hoping that some day we just make a website for this all… I just don’t know how to do it… but till then, good ol’ fictionpress! And yes, we’re still looking at publishing… just when I have the money to do it.)

b. One is not exactly like BLM. Still involves everyone and is somewhat about secrets, but people would get to design things and send them in via email. (No, it is not postsecret!! Have a little more faith in me than that…) I wouldn’t be able to put it up on fictionpress, though, and would probably have to get a blog to do it.

I was just wondering if anyone here would ever be interested in either, or if BLM is about as far as you’d want these kinds of things to go (because, you know, I’m already so awesome at staying on top of this.) Also, would anyone feel like contributing to either, if we ever did make them? And if so, which do you find more interesting?

Shoot me a PM or vote on the poll to let me know please :)

Update (2/27/11):

The ugly truth: school is taking over my life. Between my school work and extracurricular activities, I don't have time to post much (or anything) on here. I know I've shirked on BLM too, but I'm not kidding when I say I spend all my free time either at school or doing something for school. And those few moments when I feel victorious because it seems like I'm free of school, I'm either doing something family-related (very important right now) or I'm catching up with friends I never get to see. Basically, I don't quite have the time for fictionpress.

I'm going to try to start updating BLM again (I've done a terrible job with it lately) but I can't make any promises, especially within this next week. It's going to be dreadful and if I make it out alive, I'll be sure to let you know ;)

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I'm terribly sorry for my lack of updating and that I love you all. Yes you, sitting there. No, I don't care if I've never spoken to you in your life. I love you, get over it.

With love in my heart and hopes that you'll have a wondrous life,

Maria

BEHIND LOCKED MINDS INFO-

Francilla Marie and I are gathering a composition of journal entries of all different backgrounds and types, from all different teenagers. And what we need is your help.
Info About Entries:
-They can be in any form- like a real diary entry, or like a story, or like a poem. It just has to be true and about your life, or about something really big that has affected your life in some way.

-We solemnly swear will remain unbiased, and will let most entries be put up, no matter the topic- that is, unless it gets too crazy and mature for our T rating.

-Your entries will go up anonymously, and we swear to the bottom of our hearts that you can trust us with your secrets. Your pen name won't be going anywhere, including the document we use to put them up.

-Write up your entry and copy-and-paste it to a PM and send it to either of us (or contact me if you'd like to DocX it.)

This is just a way to show the world who teenagers REALLY are, and not what the media seems to think. For some people, it's just a way to let things out without anybody knowing that it's really you.

Like the idea? Go ahead and send us an entry! Just PM it to me or Francilla, including a title for it and permission for us to publish it in a book- because who doesn't want BLM in a book form? If you do not want yours published, don't worry. Just tell us.
((We will not change any entries, though we will correct spelling and grammar. If you would not like us to do this, make sure to mention that- for all we really know, they might be something essential to your entries. We don't want to mess it up!))
Please send all entries with a title you would like it to go by

(PS- If I do not reply to your entry within a week, I give you permission to bug me about it. I've been busy lately, so I've been a bit negligent. I need the reminders!)

BLM POETRY CONTEST- As some of you may know, we're hoping to MAYBE one day publish this Behind Locked Minds thing as a book. Even if we don't... we're having a contest. You see, we want the ending of the book/FP story to end in a poem. We were thinking about how to do that, and we thought, "Hey, let's have a contest and see what the wonderful people of the world can come up with!" So yeah... here's the contest rules:
-It MUST be a poem
-Last words MUST be "behind locked minds"
-We prefer to have no cuss words in in (PLEASE!)
-BE CREATIVE!!
(If you are confused with this topic, feel free to PM one of us- we'll explain anything you might not understand :D)

PS: Just to let you know, if we really do use this ideas, we will probably use ALL the poems that are submitted: the winner will just be the very last poem. We've already got quite a few, and they're so amazing, I don't think it would be possible not to add them into the book!
