Author has written 4 stories for Western, Romance, Humor, and Love. The Girl with the Beaded Pen Writing is my release, ~ Ruby Kart So updates have slowed down quite a bit and it is unfortunately due to the fact that school started and most of my time is used for HW and not for writing. I am trying to write so I can update at least once a week. I am happy to announce that I have the ending planned for 'Hero' by Design. However, based on what you readers think, I might write and epilogue, but that is not a definite yet. I still have a few more chapters to go before the ending. Forbidden Love has been put on HIATUS but I do plan on resuming work on that once Hero by Design is complete. It's just too difficult for me to jump between the two stories because of their monumental differences. Also, I have been planning a short story to be placed into the Action genre. It will be my first attempt at an Action story, so we will see how that goes. I have a plan for it, but the writing is still quite a ways off. And as a side note, for those of you who love to read and write, I HIGHLY recommend a book titled Reading like a Writer: A Guide for those who Love Books and for those who Want to Write Them. by Francine Prose. It's a good look at the little things that make good classic writers and things you can improve on. Also, don't forget to vote for your favorite dress from HBD and sign the petition to try and stop plagiarism on sites like FP. I know I would hate to have my work stolen, and I'm sure many out there feel the same way. One of my favorite authors on this site, Myrika, has been the unfortunate victim of plagiarism. Her stories Everyone Hates Logan and Against All Odds were two of the best and most creative I have read on this website. But thanks to a few people who take joy in stealing from others, her stories are no longer available here for reading. She is not the only victim of this crime, and many more stories have been pulled from this website. I found a petition designed to stop plagiarism, or to at least create a new website where authors can post their works with less risk of it being stolen. I understand that once becomming a part of Fictionpress.com, you agree that they will not be held accountable for the loss of any work. However, it still does not make it right. If you would like to join me and others who would like to stop plagiarism, copy and paste this link to your profile. Or better yet, sign it yourself. Spread the word. The less we have people plagiarising, the more freedom we have as writers and readers. http://www.petitiononline.com/stopfp/petition.html I AM ANTIPLAGIARISM, AND I AM PROUD! ~ Ruby Kart . Name: Well, like I'm gonna put my real ID on the internet. Just go by my pen name, Ruby Kart. I have certain OCD tendencies, which my sisters love to pick on me about. They will purposely mess up picture frames, just so I will come and straighten them. Sigh, gotta love 'em. I guess it's not a bad thing, b/c I'm normally super OCD when it comes to my writing. lol I'm homeschooled, but it doesn't really give me a whole lot of extra time to write. I like to have at least one chapter already written ahead of time before posting one. Understand that the stories I write are not from experience. Forbidden Love, is a dramatic story, but none of those events have actually occured in my life. However, some of the conversations in Hero by Design really did happen! :) I really appreciate any reviews I get, and I do my best to repay them.
