Just trying to improve my writing style. I need lots of criticism, so please, don't be nice. Help me not suck at writing, please. :)

Okay, well, I'm not much of a writer. Nor a reader. Nor anybody that's smart. But I have a passion for writing horror stuff... though it's never that good. Some of my favorite genres of books and movies are horror and sci-fi. Which sucks because I always complain how the majority are lame and cheesy. It takes a lot more to make a good horror or sci-fi story than any other genre I believe. It's so easy to make it lame... so my goal in writing is create unique (which is also incredibly hard in these genres)... non-lame horror stories. Though so far, I'm failing. I'm working on it though!
