Some about me: I don't easily fit into any category in particular. I'm old enough to have three teen-aged boys but have been mistaken for my eldest's's girlfriend. He didn't like that too much.

As an udergrad I majored in a little of everything and graduated--in four years--with a quadruple major. Yeah, really. The I proceeded to take on grad work in totally different areas. After my PhD, I spent 16 years as a college professor in education and counseling. Currently I am an education pastor in a small church doing what I've always wanted to do. Go figure.

My other artsy pursuits include photography, cooking, and scrap booking.

I earned by first black belt in tae kwon do with my kids two years ago. Currently I am about 6 months away from earning a second black belt in a second martial arts discipline. Currently I learning my Chinese fighting fan form. Love it! I can't wait till we get to start studying with the sword!

My stories: I've been writing since I was 10. By the time I graduated HS I'd written several individual novels and a trilogy for my friends. Sci fi/fantasy were and are my favorite genres. Those efforts are in a box in the closet and will likely stay there.

Currently I've got two stories up. Firefly is a sci fi piece, totally finished and in final edits I should add. It's sequel, currently titled Lighten is about 1 1/2 chapters from completion right now. I'm positing weekly on Firefly and will continue with its sequel afterward. Both are largely character driven tales, I leave the techno-speak to the engineers! My main character, Ari, is at the most basic level, a survivor. But survival has its costs. These are stories of the journey of turning survival into something more like victory.

In His Garden is a very different piece. This one is very personal and harder to make public because of that. I am also posting weekly on this one, it is an allegory more than anything, reflecting my own spiritual journey.
