Author has written 18 stories for Sci-Fi, and Mystery. I'm a 56-yr-old lady who's recently discovered that I actually DO have a creative side. Having been an avid reader for many years, I decided to see if I could write. My friends all say they like my stories, but aren't inclined to offer criticism either good or bad. (Except one who will nitpick my punctuation and spelling, and then ask questions that tell me he wasn't paying attention to the plot!) I would dearly love to hear what others think of my skill (or lack thereof); I'm sure every writer thinks they can do better and I'm no different. I've been writing for about 4 years now. I finally got up the nerve to enter a story in a contest and received 8th place. Of course I'd have liked to have done better, but was encouraged that I'd placed at all. (That story - and others - can be found at fanfiction.net) Now I'm taking the next step and posting my stories for all to read. It's given me reason to re-read "old" work and the chance to update it. Please let me know what you think, what you liked and didn't - and any suggestions on how to improve are indeed welcome. I hope you enjoy my stories.
