Hey guys...I'm not really sure what to put here... Lyra Kaji is my character's name, so I decided to use it as my pen name, because that's just how clever I am (not). Other interests besides writing include field hockey, piano, reading, and swimming... My favorite music: I really can't go by genre, because I truly have no preference whatsoever. I like Green Day, Enya, the All-American Rejects, the Beatles, Taylor Swift, Queen, Journey, Mumford and Sons, the Killers, Peter Gabriel, and music from the Lion King, among other things. Lots of other things. Many of them embarrassing. I sometimes like to listen to random songs and then let them inspire the creation of my characters. I currently have a character inspired by a combination of Gives You Hell and Mr. Brightside. He's the most complex character I think I've ever worked with. Better than those character generator things. I used to live in Surrey. I am afraid of cobwebs, and really really really like rain. My friend showed me this website during study hall and I thought it was pretty cool, so I decided to join it. I've been semi-dedicated to maintaining this profile throughout high school. If fictionpress could update anything I wish they gave you the ability to group writing more broadly than the chapter system, maybe folders-by-genre, or something. I've toyed with the idea of publishing under multiple pseudonyms (I also have a Scribophile page under Lexi Hayes) but never really liked the idea of cutting myself into pieces. It seems silly, though, to put works dealing with real-life issues and experiences side-by-side with goofy, just-for-fun stuff like The Soulspeaker and the Secret Sword. Not that one is better than the other, but they're just really, really different. So, to avoid reader-whiplash, I've divvied it up for you by thematic content.
