I've been writing fiction as a hobby for a very long time, almost as long as I can remember. Though I'm a scientist by day, my imagination is just too big not to write it down at night. Do you ever get a story, an idea, that just won't let go until you write it down? I love that feeling. Anyway, I've been writing original fiction for a long time, but recently got into fan fiction (http://www.fanfiction.net/~pterawaters if you want to read my stuff over there). Nanowrimo is my favorite time of year and if you're similarly inclined, you can watch my progress at http://www.nanowrimo.org/user/224453. My first story is that Nanowrimo novel, which hopefully I'll be able to finish here, though I'm sure it will run past 50,000 words. After that, we'll see how it goes.
