Name: Hortus~Deliciarum
(-which means "Garden of Delights". It's a reference to an old collection of poetry, songs, and other such things. I like it because it sounds cool and Latin is always more interesting. I have a friend who's learning Latin!)

About Me: I like crunchy peanut butter, chocolate, gummy bears, cookie dough ice cream, trees, beaches, skies, fields, photography, duct tape, researching, using the computer, blue jeans, hats, bugs, snakes, hot chocolate, Coca Cola, red, all the seasons (summer, spring, fall, winter, and in that order), crackly leaves, and inverting pictures. Right now I'm interested in Alice & Wonderland, antique shops, searching for things on ebay, reading manga, and collecting knives/swords. I like to write and draw and paint, although I don't do any of those things very often. I very much enjoy listening to music and I don't have a favourite song because I can't choose. Some of the tops include: The General (by Dispatch), Thank the Watchmaker and The Alamo (both by And Then There Were None), The Lining is Silver (by Relient K), Do You Believe In Magic (by The Lovin' Spoonful), and artists who I can't even come close to picking favourite songs - Switchfoot and Collective Soul. You can learn more about my by clicking the link at the bottom of the "Me Description" that goes to a more in-depth page.)

Right now I'm into anime, learning to play my guitar, and learning Japanese. I've recently begun to write my own fanfiction after reading it for a few years. I honestly don't care about reviews, which is why you won't see me asking for them. (The hit count is good enough for me...I just discovered it today.) I get amused by the least interesting of things. I once started a fad of hanging a slinky from my bedroom ceiling. I'm in the twelfth grade and next year I'll be going to a university to take engineering. (Yay!) I love math and physics (even though I'm not always that good at it). Currently, we're learning electrochemistry in my chem class and I'm having some difficulty grasping it. However, I had a blast with my trig proofs exam because (now that I get it), it's fun. Enough about school. I'm making a huge list of random things that I like and I'll post a link to that eventually. I just ordered my prom/grad dress and I'm so excited for it! In fact, here's a link: awesome dress.

I've noticed that disturbing stories appeal to me. Does that say something about my character? I hope not, but I've always liked sad endings. I enjoy reading stories by the Brothers Grimm and when I was younger I read the Flowers In The Attic series (by V.C. Andrews). I liked that it was twisted and unsatisfying to the end. I like stories that are (I suppose the word is "angsty") in retrospect. You know, where the ending reveals exactly how much things have degenerated or just how twisted the story truly was. We read The Yellow Wallpaper at school and it wasn't until my friend ranted about it that I realized how disturbing it was. (It's a paramount example of how sleep-deprived I was that I almost completely missed the narrator going insane before my very eyes. I didn't actually think about what I was reading, I just read it mindlessly.) I feel kind of bad about that actually.
