Author has written 8 stories for Horror, Supernatural, and Life. My name is Sereana. I'm twenty something. I write horror. I study psychology. I'm influenced by Stephen King, his infinite villains, comfortable settings, and bad habit of writing himself into his work. I also really enjoy Clive Barker, Ramsey Campbell, Edgar Allan Poe, Richard Christian Matheson, Victor Salva, Charles De Lint, and Neil Gaiman. I read a lot of short story horror anthologies. In my own work, I really love giant insect monsters, romance, infinite settings, villain monologues, sexual tension, coming of age, demons, female leads with a strong will to survive, growing fleshy/pulpy gore, the occasional serial killer with a twist, fairy tales, folklore, myths, dialogue, bridge trolls and monsters in the woods, changing seasons, and loud imagery. Mostly giant insect monsters, though. Maybe it's a fetish. So what? Who cares?
