About me: I currently write fanfiction on fanfiction.net under the same name. However, I do like to write original fiction. Mostly I write fantasy, science fiction, and historical novels.

Hmm...not sure what to say here. I'm definitely not the type who likes to post original work online, but I realized that I need some good feedback. I believe that people are much more honest on the Internet. And I know that some people who follow me on fanfiction.net want to read some of my original work. So yeah.

My NaNoWriMo project will be posted online as I write it. It is the first draft, so don't expect it to be spectacular. There will be typos, plot holes and characterization issues with this. I guarantee it. However, the point of this exercise is to help me actually finish a draft rather than hit the intended word count.

NaNoWriMo Project: Determined to Prove a Villain

"And therefore, — since I cannot prove a lover,
To entertain these fair well-spoken days, —
I am determined to prove a villain,
And hate the idle pleasures of these days."

Young Mr. Derrick Rose, the only child of the criminal mastermind known as La Femme, lives in a world full of strife. Two warring parties tear the world apart, and neither is trusted by civilians. On one side there are the MASKS: squads of superpowered humans who work for the US Military. Their goal: to destroy the Syndicate, the criminal organization built by La Femme, whose power exceeds that of several small nations.
Unable to inherit the Syndicate upon his mother's death, Derrick hatches a plan to rule the world, one that will destroy both sides of the chess board. Young and utterly ruthless, Derrick will stop at nothing to achieve his goal. As he gathers his allies and amasses his power he learns what it truly means to be a villain.
