BIO

The desire to write has been upon me since I can remember. As a child I would get together with my siblings and create impromptu plays. Or we would play imaginary adventures in our walnut tree or stranded old bus on our 30-acre homestead in Oregon. Later we converted our old Toyota wagon into a space-ship using waffle irons and toasters. It was great fun. In fact, I wish I could have taken pictures or video of some of the adventures we came up with. I'm sure they would have made great stories. Short stories, at least.

Novels didn't begin blossoming in my over-active imagination until I was 16. A shy teen that was viewed as an outsider, I lived through my characters. There was so much pain and depth of emotion to experience through them! So many safe adventures of danger and risk that helped my brain figure out the cause and effect of such a wide variety of decisions. A luxury not many have access to. And how much I learned about myself!

Because of my adventures with my characters I see life through different glasses. My brain sees more facets of possibilities. I'm eccentric, true, but I'm more complete and certain of my identity. A fact I wouldn't trade for all the gold in the world! I like who I've become and enjoy the challenge that is to be had in creating the perfect story for the characters sitting in the back stage of my imagination.

Growing up with text-based adventure games, story-like educational games for the personal computer (ours was the TI-99/4A), the arcade-type games for the Atari, and table-top adventure/mystery games, I've had quite a 'gaming' background. First introduced to the story-driven game type when A Link to the Past came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), I couldn't get enough. I eagerly played anything that was basically an interactive novel. That included everything from Squaresoft games to those by Enix, Konami, Capcom, and anything else I could find. I was an addict.

I discovered the adventure of writing fanfiction in 1999 when I read a fanfic for Dragon Warrior called Gwaelin (I think). That story, as well as the others read, inspired me to write Helping Hands for Final Fantasy VII and then Terra for Final Fantasy VI, and so on and so forth. Then, finally, I stumbled into the limitless potential of the Final Fantasy VIII realm and created the serial that is Bookworms and... Booya!

As you can see when you venture further inside, my writing habits and imagination have never been the same. Each fanfiction project undertaken has helped me grow, stretching past what I could envision while utilizing the 'hand-up' of these visionaries whom created such vivid worlds and characters. Fanfiction, simply put, has been a God-sent blessing of epic proportions. I hope my stories never cease to inspire others as the first-read ones inspired me.

Blessings~

Special thanks to my Muse, God the Author. Your pushes and suggestions have helped me get to the story that might not have been told, the chapter that might not have been written, and the character that might never have been born.
