All the King’s Men was under a short hiatus due to revisions, but it is back up and running. I apologize to my readers for the wait, I didn’t expect to be gone for so long.

Upon a Shining Star: In the aftermath of his best friend trying to kill him, a king is left to piece his fragile kingdom back together with the ongoing threat of his friend’s followers bent on fulfilling their leader’s final wishes.

I've been working on this idea for about six years, fleshing out the characters, smoothing out the bumps and plot holes, and world building. Despite all this time I've spent on it, I never actually tried writing it because I was so nervous it wouldn't turn out at all like I imagined it would be. This past year I took a fiction writing class where we had to write a short story using a few guidelines such as a forbidden love, magic, and a secret society. Since we had to do workshops and present our drafts to the entire class, I decided to take a chance and show it to them. After receiving so much positive feedback, I started writing more of it. A friend told me about this site and I decided to post Upon a Shining Star. I hope you enjoy it!
