How to describe myself; I suppose I should start with major Phantom phan and all-round musicals freak, my favourites being Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Jane Eyre, Jekyll and Hyde, The Secret Garden, Tanz der Vampire (though I can't comment on Dance of the Vampires yet - when are they going to release the cast album?!) and Miss Saigon (wherein I love Erik, Christine (no Christine-bashing for me, please!), Nadir, Meg, Eponine, Javert, Jane, Helen, Rochester, Henry, Lucy, Emma (look, I feel sorry for her, OK?!) Utterson, Archibald, Martha, Kim, and John and hate Cosette, Marius, Chris, and Ellen.) My favourite Eriks: Michael Crawford (of course!), Ron Bohmer, Hugh Panaro, Alexander Goebel, John Owen Jones (current LC Phantom and my all-time favourite), Franc D'Ambrosio, and Peter Hofmann (German cast - I don't speak German, but his voice is so beautiful it doesn't matter :) Serious angel of music stuff). My favourite Christines: Lisa Vroman, Katrina Murphy, Deborah Dutcher, Anna Maria Kaufmann and Mary D'Arcy. OK, fine, fine, I give in ... my favourite Raouls ... Christopher Carl, Steve Barton, John Barrowman, and Matt Cammelle (HE'S BACK!! WOOHOO!! I'm seeing him in May - can't wait!!) Other special people: Anthony Warlow (I'm not that keen on his Phantom but his Jekyll and Hyde ... wow!), Philip Quast, (the ONLY Javert!) Michael Ball (I saw him in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! He was FABULOUS!) James Barbour, Christiane Noll, Ruthie Henshall, Joanna Ampil, Linda Eder, Lea Salonga, and Hayley Driscoll and Jennifer Gould (my ultimate Meg Girys :) ). My all-time favourite songs are: The Music of the Night (PotO), Stars (Les Mis), Forgiveness (Jane Eyre), How Could I Ever Know? (The Secret Garden) Last Night of the World (Miss Saigon) Sirens (Jane Eyre), Lily's Eyes (The Secret Garden), If I can't love her (Beauty and the Beast). My favourite author is Jane Austen, but I can't decide which of her books is my favourite; I'm torn between Northanger Abbey as being absolutely hysterical and the sharpest book I've ever read and Emma or Pride and Prejudice as just being soo romantic :) I'm on MSN Messenger as cat_midas@hotmail.com and Yahoo as cat_midas so if you fancy a chat about any of my obsessions or any of yours - I'm always willing to learn! then IM me or drop me an email. Also a very proud member of "To EACH (Erik and Christine's hearts) their own"! a great club for all E/C shippers out there! (Oh - I just found the best quote for my long fic "Nothing Left to Lose" from a lovely Michael Crawford CD and I couldn't wait to put it up somewhere!) "Somebody's troubled and confused, Somebody's got nothing left to lose, Not too far from here. Somebody's forgotten how to trust, And somebody's dying for love ... Not too far from here ..." Big hug goes out to my phanfiction mommy, Maya!! Thank you for always being my muse and stopping me getting depressed when Erik and Christine are being difficult!! :D | |||||||
