Author has written 12 stories for Life, Fantasy, Haiku, Fantasy, and Love.

Greetings. My pen name, as is obvious, is Riyin Nos Reche. Actual name Ian. I've been writing since close to age... 5? Pen name is based off of a character in my friend's story, as well as one in mine.

I'm currently: 17

Interests include: The Byron Group. (Percy Byshe Shelley, Mary Shelley, John Polidori, and of course George Gordon Noel Byron himself.) As well, Edgar Rice Burroughs and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle come to mind. H.P. Lovecraft and Robert E. Howard litter my shelves, and I also enjoy modern works authors such as Tolkein, Brent Weeks, T.A. Baron, R.A. Salvatore, and (of course) George "Rediculously Ruthless" Martin.

Favorite quote: Look on my works, Ye mighty, and despair! (Nothing beside remains. Round the decay/Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare)

I'm a big fan of returning reviews, so I will attempt to speedily and effectively return as many reviews as I am able.

As a side note, while I accept any form of criticism to the breaking point, and even harsh ones will be accepted with a certain chagrin on my part, flames will be printed out and put to work warming my feet in my fireplace. Mmmm. Toasty.

As always, cheers,
Riyin Nos Reche

1. Sonnet 31 - Savior
The heart will choose its own path, and no creed or law can dissuade it if its course is true and pure. This, I will always believe, and I hope I have conveyed the depth of that belief with this poem. Rated M just to be on the safe side due to references and language. Cheers, Riyin Nos Reche
Poetry: Love - Rated: M - English - Poetry/Romance - Chapters: 1 - Words: 129 - Published: 4-10-13 - Complete
2. Demons, Veins, and Envy
A friend of mine recently got clean after abusing hallucinogenic drugs for what feels like the longest of times, and I am so proud of him. This poem was written years ago, back when he was still a user. Cheers, Riyin Nos Reche

3. The Stygian Shore
Hi all! Sorry I haven't posted lately, been caught up with finals and such. I wrote this one a while ago, and it remains one of my favorites, though it could use some polishing. Cheers, Riyin Nos Reche
Poetry: Life - Rated: T - English - Poetry/Supernatural - Chapters: 1 - Words: 131 - Published: 4-10-13 - Complete
4. The Soldier: A Group of Haiku
I was reading japanese history the other day. (I know: NEEEEERRRDDD) Then I came across a startling event: During the Edo Period, the Shogun sent Samurai to a small farming town and massacred the peasants that were staging a riot there. I wrote these Haiku to describe the horror of the situation. Riyin Nos Reche
Poetry: Haiku - Rated: M - English - Poetry/Tragedy - Chapters: 1 - Words: 66 - Published: 10-22-12
5. Beauty in Shadow
While reading Byron's "She walks in Beauty" I composed this. To clarify, the poem in question is hauntingly beautiful, but I believe anything that walks like the night can have no innocence to it. The night's Beauty is a cold, dark, and mysterious one. So I wrote this as a rebuttal to Byron, despite him having my highest respect. Cheers, Riyin Nos Reche

6. Sonnet 27 reviews
Wrote this offhand one day, realized with a few tweaks it could be my 27th Sonnet, realized it didn't suck like the past...24? Then posted. Rated T for ratings crackdowns. Cheers, Riyin Nos Reche

Finally wrote another one that is not cringe worthy, and actually turned out to be rather good. Rated T for ratings crackdowns. Cheers, Riyin Nos Reche

8. Sonnet 3 reviews
The third sonnet I have written, this one didn't turn out as badly as I had feared, and so is worth sharing. Rated T because rating crackdowns scare me. Cheers, Riyin Nos Reche

9. Sanity's Curse » reviews
This is going to me my "Masterpiece". I've decided to devote my literary skills to it, so reviews would be appreciated immensely. The story revolves around a Chronicler of the Dark, a human whose organization is based on learning about supernatural things to better combat them if they become a threat. He gets a meeting with Nuada, of the Autumn Court, and it goes from there. Cheers

10. Flower Petals reviews
A haiku that I wrote while musing in my garden. I looked at the flowers that the wind had strewn about, and it just kind of came to me. Cheers, Riyin Nos Reche
Poetry: Haiku - Rated: K+ - English - Chapters: 1 - Words: 39 - Reviews: 2 - Published: 6-15-12 - Complete
11. The Danse Macabre reviews
A poem on what it's like to have one's heart stop, yet continue living in an agonized existence. Based loosely on excerpts from Vampire: The Requiem. Rated M for violence, Macabre tastes, and becuase the rating crackdown terrifies me. The name is intentional, not a spelling error. Needs work, so help would be appreciated tweaking it. Cheers, Riyin Nos Reche
