I'm a fan of most things in the world...

I like traveling, because seeing new things is amazing; but I also like staying home, because reading about new things is amazing, too.

I like books, because it's fun to visualize different worlds using my own brain; but I also like television, because I get lazy sometimes.

I like music, because playing piano is my favorite thing ever; but I also like silence, because I get distracted easily.

I like drawing, because a picture is worth a thousand words; but I also like writing, because, quite honestly, I'm a terrible artist.

...but there are also things I'm not a fan of.

I don't like Mary Sues, even though I sometimes create them by accident.

I don't like swearing, even though those words slip out of my mouth sometimes, and I occasionally have to use them because my characters have different...values than I do. I can't have an angsty teenager yelling "Darn you, you stupid-head!" I mean, really.

I love them, even if I don't have the patience to write a (reasonably good) sonnet and I'm not nearly disturbed enough to emulate Poe (not that you have to be disturbed to write disturbing things, I'm sure you're fine).
