I am new to writing, but I feel like I have a lot of potential. I am a slow writer, so I will probably finish a story before I begin posting. I sort of speak Spanish and publish my stories in both English and Spanish. My brother also uses this website, under the name AnakinJamesMellarkBatmanPsych. His penname would suggest that he has the fandom disease worse than I do. He doesn't have any stories of his own, yet, but he is my editor and sometimes co-writer.
As you can tell by my username, I am a big LOTR fan, but you won't find me writing or reading any LOTR fanfics. I respect Tolkien's work too much to desecrate its good name with my insignificant talent. No offense to all LOTR fanfic authors, but no one can measure up to Tolkien's greatness as a writer. I LOVE book and movie trivia, and I have a great memory for it. My brother and I often engage in debates about certain facts of Star Wars, Harry Potter, etc.
Romance is great, but friendship is better. Combine the two, and you get the most beautiful relationship humans can accomplish. That's why I don't like Gone With the Wind. If you can't like the person you love, be prepared for a lot of unhappiness.
I love reviews, like most authors. Go ahead and flame me, as long as it is constructive criticism and not just a list of things you hate about me, my story, and life in general. Bat-thumb finally pulled through and defeated No-Face, allowing me to have an avatar (Yay:).
My dorky brother says dorky things. They are occasionally funny, and inspired me to begin a joke-funny story list:
#1. A man walks into a bar and says "Ow."
#2. (True story!) A robber is holding up a convenience store at gunpoint. He demands money and alcohol. The clerk refuses to give him alcohol without proof that he is 21. The robber then obligingly shows the clerk his driver's license. He was indeed over 21.
#3. Knock, knock. Who's there? The Doctor.
#4. Knock, knock. Who's there? You know. You-Know-Who? Exactly. Avada Kedavra!
