This is a spur of the moment piece I wrote while at a 4th of July celebration on a pier at the beach. Inspired by the fireworks and the festivities, I came up with this melancholy tale of love & loss. Nothing much; just a bite-sized bit of heart.

The characters are fictional and their similarity to any persons alive, while intentional, is inaccurate. Not much else to this one; just fun times sharing a part of my life.
