The name back2life comes from a late '80's hit by Soul II Soul. I was listening to it one day and thought, "That's what I need to do, get a life”, hence back2life was born.
I started on this road to writer as an avid reader and reviewer of fanfiction and still am. A friend suggested that I start writing to help me deal with life and all that it flings at me. My first thought was that it was a crazy idea and that I wasn’t at all creative. Eventually the idea began to wear on me and I began by writing short poetry. I mean really short, you can find it on Twitter at Poet160. From that, I moved on and wrote The Glow, which is my first long poem and one that I’m rather proud of. Along with writing poetry, I've started my first short story Out of the Darkness. The idea for the story did startle me at first because of where I plan to go with it. I believe it will be different from pieces I have read and it’s my goal and hope to have the reader thinking about the world we live in.
Please know that I'm a sucker for reviews, both good and bad, because I want to know what I can improve upon, if I'm way of base or if I'm actually doing something right. It's my opinion that knowing how the readers feel can only make a writer better. So, please feel free to leave me a message.
