Welcome! Welcome to my humble profile page (I bow). I have just discovered this site, though I have been a member of FFNet (FFN) for quite a while, a few years in fact. I had joined FFN because I wanted to improve my writing skills and am in fact in the process of writing my own, original, work of art. Well, I guess I should explain a bit about myself…so yeah here goes:
1. I am a Male
2. I am in College
3. I still live with my parents (I know, I know, sad Hugh?)
4. I love to read/Write
5. I like to listen to music, all sorts
6. I like to watch Soccer/Football
7. I have never made it beyond the 5’th chapter of my own stories
8. I am a ‘by the seat of my pants’ writer, meaning that I usually have a general plot of where I want my stories to go, but, I don’t know what will happen in each chapter until I’m writing it.
9. I would like to learn another language
10. I want to travel and see the world
11. I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan
There you go, I gave you eleven things about me. They are not in that order, just in the order I thought of them. I’m pretty sure that I will be posting a story pretty soon, but I would like to read a few before doing so, besides, I have 2 in progress stories on FFN. I’m trying to juggle these two stories right now, while preparing for my finals next month (May) then I get a few months off of school (huge sigh).
But, as I said earlier, when I do get around to posting on this site, I’m pretty sure it will be my current story that I am writing (in hopes of eventually getting published) titled:
Roy Keith & the Henchmen’s Apprentice: Book One of the Barons Trilogy.
I must admit though, my grammar skills are not the best (as reflected by me English grade) but all I can ask is that you bear with me—for I do realize that it is mostly horrible, but I am (slowly) getting better. Now here are some of my all time favorite quotes, which I do (will) try to live by:
Aude Sapere-Dare to Know
Audere est facere-To dare is to do
Audio, Video, Disco-I hear, I see, I learn
Una salus victis nullam sperare salutem - The one safety for the vanquished is to abandon hope of safety, knowing there is no hope, can give one the courage to fight and win
And of course, who could forget
Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?—who watches the watchmen?
My quote from a movie, which I find highly amusing, and quite frankly, true--‘Writer’s use lies to tell the truth’—V for Vendetta.
Ok, ok, I think I’ve gone on for quite long enough. For anyone who does in fact read this…I hope that you have enjoyed this little insight into my hectic, extremely random life. Also, I do love reviews, but never seem to get a lot of them. But…reviews encourage me because then I know people have something to say for my hard efforts ;) So please, try and at least leave a small note, even if it is to just say ‘great.’
Until the next update,
