Well, if you're taking the time to read this, I'd better let you know what you're in for. I present to you my oft-revised biography!

-I'm known on the 'net as Angels-Protégée, but you can call me Angels or A-P.
-I inherited my mother's love of Scottish accents...she goes for Sean Connery, and I fantasize over Gerard Butler (though I sure as hell won't say no to Hugh Jackman if you've got him!).
-I'm random
-I'm obsessive
-I pace when I'm deep in thought (I call it thinking on my feet.)
-I despise the word "normal." I mean, what is "normal," exactly?
-I love to write and I've been doing so since before I could write...ask me nicely and I'll explain.
-I love to sing
-I'm a selective mute (finally! I know what's wrong!), but I'm also terribly charming. Or so I've been told.
-I'm a cynical romantic. Really, I am.
-I'm a big-time penguin-buff. Just love those little guys!
-I've got a weird fascination for the number three...I have no idea why.
-I frequently tell people that I'm mad as a hatter, and generally, they agree.
-I'm a MythBusters freak, and I LOVE explosions!
-Even though I don't give a rat's behind about cars, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Top Gear! The BBC version, that is, because the American version sucks.
-My mother didn't raise a rebel child so much as a little hellion disguised as a skinny, bespectacled book nerd of middling height and questionable sanity. Don't tell her, all right?
-I walk several fine lines: love/hate, genius/madness, fascination/obsession, enthusiasm/hyperactivity, nerve/recklessness, bravery/stupidity, perseverance/stubbornness, etc.
-I curse a bit, but I try to keep it PG-13 unless I'm good and riled. Then it's F-bombs away.
-My sense of humor ranges from witty to candid to sarcastic to completely inappropriate, with occasional and accidental slapstick.
-I have something of a short temper, but I'm incorrigibly and often annoyingly chipper.

Here's some quotes that give a little more insight into my personality.

There are no good girls gone wrong--just bad girls found out. (Mae West)

I may be mad, I may be blind, I may be viciously unkind, but I can still read what you're thinking (Annie Lennox - "Why")

Without music, life would be a mistake. (Friedrich Nietzsche)

If my thought-dreams could be seen, they'd probably put my head in a guillotine (Bob Dylan - "It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)")

I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. (Dr. Seuss)

If I knew what I was doing, I'd be doing it right now (Keith Urban - "I'm In")

There is a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line. (Oscar Levant)

You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one (John Lennon - "Imagine")

A day without laughter is a day wasted. (Charlie Chaplin)

You may be right, I may be crazy, but it just may be a lunatic you're looking for (Billy Joel - "You May Be Right")

I reject your reality and substitute my own. (Adam Savage)

I ain't first class, but I ain't white trash, I'm wild and a little crazy, too (Sawyer Brown - "Some Girls Do")

And some of my favorite song lyrics just because.

She had a need to feel the thunder, to chase the lightning from the sky/To watch the storm with all its wonder raging in her lover's eye/She had to ride the heat of passion like a comet burning bright/Rushing headlong in the wind out where only dreams have been/Burning both ends of the night (Garth Brooks - "That Summer")

Let 'em stare, I don't care/'Cause I'm exception to the rule/They're only jealous 'cause I'm so cool (Carlene Carter - "I'm So Cool")

And I don't want the world to see me/'Cause I don't think that they'd understand (Goo Goo Dolls - "Iris")

Hearing is believing, music is deceiving/Hard as lightning, soft as candlelight/Dare you trust the music of the night? (Michael Crawford - "The Music of the Night")

What more in the name of love? (U2 - "Pride (In the Name of Love)")

She can take the dark out of the nighttime and paint the daytime black (Bob Dylan - "She Belongs To Me")

The blues will be blue and the jealousies green/But when love picks it shade it demands to be seen (Garth Brooks "The Red Strokes")

Essence-o'-Gemma Cocktail

1 tsp precocious wisdom
2 scoops lunacy
a dash of natural sweetness
3 TBS sometimes-bad attitude
3 quarts wild imagination
20 ccs pure adrenaline
5 dollops dry humor
3 quarts straight-up crazy
1 pinch salty language
2 gallons raging inappropriateness
4 ounces Scotch whiskey
swagger to taste

Bring all ingredients to a rolling boil and garnish with cackling laughter and a ridiculous pun. Serve chilled with tea and crumpets or piping hot with cabbage and corned beef, but always share with friends!
