Hi :) I am distractionsdistractions, and I am a keen writer.

I live in the UK, and I thoroughly enjoy my writing. I take notebooks with me when I travel, keen never to miss or forget an idea when it comes to me. I will most likely only upload one-shots or one chapter stories, but I may be uploading a story I started a while back in order to help me gage public perceptions and opinions of it.

As well as this website, I also upload my work to fanfiction . net (remove the spaces) under the penname 'IThinkILeftMyCoatOutside'. Quirky, I know, but that is the very word I like to use to describe myself; I embrace my 'wierd' traits and habits rather than dismissing or shunning them. I write fanfictions based around the Kurt-Blaine relationship on Fox's Glee, and so I don't expect everyone to read and/or love that work I have going over there. Which is why I have decided to spread my writing even further across the internet in hope of entertaining readers such as yourselves.

A few things you should know about me;

- I take criticism to heart, so whether it is constructive or just criticism in general, make sure that you mean it as I will take in every word that you say.

- My writing will shift around. Sometimes it will be happy, sometimes it will be sad; sometimes it could get depressing and other times it may make your blood boil, but these are my intentions. I want to be able to write in a wide range of styles in a wide range of emotions and using many different story lines and writing techniques in order to expand my repetoire.

- I am a firm believer in LGBT rights, and so if I do ever right some fiction on here that includes homosexual, bisexual, transgender or any other characters, I ask you to refrain from spouting your own personal opinions on the subject in reviews where they are open to public viewing. If you really do feel strongly about it and wish for me to know, message me and I will reply to you. I have a few friends who are 'out' as gay or bisexual, and so I will take any insults personally.

- Along the same lines as the above, if you find one of my works particularly harrowing or personal to you, feel free to message me and I will happily try to help you out. I care, and even though we may not know each other, my ever-growing heart is always big enough to fit you in, because no-one should have to suffer alone.
