1. Darkeness
When tragedy strikes, people grieve, but they don't change. People go back to routine, and soon forget. They will always stay the same.
Poetry: Nature - Rated: K - English - Tragedy/Hurt/Comfort - Chapters: 1 - Words: 95 - Published: 12-28-12
2. Tick Tock
Tick Tock is the whole anticipation of the unknown. Were the Jews going to a safe haven, moving from the ghettos to concentration camps? Were they going to live, be free? Or would they be in worse shape than they already are? Would they be killed immediately? Would they need to work night and day?
Poetry: War - Rated: T - English - Tragedy/Horror - Chapters: 1 - Words: 269 - Published: 11-6-12 - Complete
3. Insane
My friends focus on their grades. My parents pat me on the back when I get my B average. The only thing I think of is "whats the point?" if I want to be someone, if I want to do a specific job, let me focus on what I have to be good at in order to do my job. Help me work on my strengths, not my weaknesses. why should I learn algebra? this is when I came up with Insane.
Poetry: School - Rated: K+ - English - Angst/Hurt/Comfort - Chapters: 1 - Words: 71 - Published: 11-5-12 - Complete
4. Inexpressive
my mother is my biggest advocate. if anything happens to me, she is always there to back me up or support me. trouble is, she calls all the shots for me. now, i am deeply effected by a decision my mom made and will be for many years and she wont be. i wrote Inexpressive to express how I feel in order to give my mother an idea.
Poetry: Family - Rated: K+ - English - Hurt/Comfort/Family - Chapters: 1 - Words: 134 - Published: 11-5-12 - Complete
5. Secret
if you whisper a secret to one person, the person will whisper the secret to another. sooner or later the secret is out. how did this happen? when a person hears a secret, something inside them makes the person have a sickening desire to tell that secret to someone else. so I decided to sit down and try to describe what a secret can do to someone.
Poetry: Life - Rated: K - English - Friendship - Chapters: 1 - Words: 80 - Published: 11-5-12 - Complete
6. Unheard
I don't know why, but I feel like no one can hear me, listen to me, or even see me. My mother sometimes tells me I am a Negative person. why? When she says something, I say the opposite so I can finally get her attention. I choose right when everyone chooses left. Why? so I can get their attention, they would have to ask me why, and I would finally be able to voice my thoughts.
Poetry: General - Rated: K+ - English - Drama/Family - Chapters: 1 - Words: 301 - Published: 11-5-12 - Complete
7. Rise, But Fall
There's a group in my class who act as if they own the school. One girl, the Ring Leader, acts just like them. Sometimes, I look her in the eyes and I can practically see what she is thinking: to act who she wants to be, to be herself and not who her "friends" think she is or want her to be. so I wrote this in class
Poetry: School - Rated: K - English - Friendship - Chapters: 1 - Words: 118 - Published: 11-5-12 - Complete
8. Hurricane
I was effected by hurricane Sandy. The next morning after Sandy struck, I awoke to silence. There was no more howling winds, no electricity, no heat. What were the death tolls? How many trees collapsed? How will we keep warm and eat and drink water? If I look outside, what will I see?
Poetry: War - Rated: K - English - Hurt/Comfort/Mystery - Chapters: 1 - Words: 106 - Published: 11-1-12
9. Dear Journal
I had to write a journal entry for 8th grade about Kristallnacht. Each teacher this assignment had gone through, was the same response: Powerful. All I thought about this was how many people were effected that night? How many lives were ruined? How could anyone be that cruel to someone even if it's their worst enemy?
