I stand here not as a woman and not as a human, I stand here as an individual with thoughts and feelings that set me apart from the crowd.

I stand before you to be judged not for my family, nor for my friends. I am here to be judged for my own actions and my own mistakes and successes. I challenge you to give me the right that all humans deserve. To be taken for being more than the sum of my society and surroundings. I am who I am. I do not hail from any place or any person. I am no one and everything. Believe in me if you dare.

I am more than you know, more than genetics and biology. I am not anything quantifiable. If you feel you must apply words to describe me beyond what I say myself, call me a god. Call me an angel. Call me a devil and a demon. I am good and evil. I am right and wrong.
