"I gave you a piece of me. Right there, in the palm of your hand, you held a piece of me." My eyes trained on his hand as I spoke. I lifted my index finger slowly and I repeatedly traced a small heart in the palm of his right hand. I pushed his fingers into a fist and forced him to squeeze his hand together. I felt him flinch as I whispered, "And you crushed it." ONE-SHOT

So... Faced with a serious situation, we all have our own way to cope. Some people tell everyone in an effort to find someone to comfort them. Some people, like me, prefer not to let it all show. I do admit that there are a few people who have seen me when I cry. Mainly my sister and mom.

I got into a conversation today about where I would choose to die. I pictured a relaxing beach setting. So this is to describe that "relaxation" I was talking about. Yes I am a Christian, so I do believe I will be going to heaven. I'm thinking about making a little "pillow book" or whatever of different places/ way to die. 27. Heart Breakingly True reviews
Today my friend was having just a terrible, terrible day. You've NO idea how badly I wanted to comfort her but I really didn't have anything to say. I couldn't say that I understood because I honestly had never been in her situation before and I had no idea what was going to happen. I couldn't empathize with her or anything yet it all just TORE me up that I couldn't comfort her.

28. Insomniac
Literally like what happens in the poem. I thought the beginning was good but then it was like I finally got sleepy (at an astonishing 5:40AM!) and it just hit me so the ending kind of took an unplanned and unexpected turn... And I'm a little proud because it's kind of been my unspoken goal to finally write a poem 200 words long and when I saved I was happy to see it was 231!
Poetry: General - Rated: K - English - Humor - Chapters: 1 - Words: 231 - Published: 12-9-12 - Complete
29. Slippery Aliens reviews
I don't like posting things like this on here because... well... Aside from an occasional line or two, I want my poems to be romance or emotions, something just a bit more... serious. I had to do a Crazy Title poem for a class. This is basically when I draw a random adjective and then a random noun for me to write my poem about. Somehow I just ended up with Slippery Alien...

35. Gunshots reviews
If you know someone looking to end their life, you can help. The woman in this poem was too late, but that's not how the story always ends. If you have a chance, take it. You never know how things could turn out. If you don't take a chance, though, the end of that story could be almost certain. It's two in the morning, sorry if this makes no sense! Rated T for mention of suicide.

41. What Happens When The Rain Pours reviews
I guess this is open to interpretation. In my mind, as I wrote it, it was more about that feeling of when you're trying to reach someone, or something, through impossible circumstances. It's about running through the harsh rain to reach someone who was worth going through it all.
