My persona is somebody who has lost a friend/family member when they threw themselves into traffic to take their own life. This poem explores the anger felt toward the person who the persona feels selfishly committed suicide leaving only hurt and memories behind.

3. The Knife reviews
This poem shows the way different people with different life experiences veiw the same inanimate object; a knife. The girl who kills herself, the friend who knows of her depression, the parents who are oblivious to their child's suffering and the doctor who has to pronounce her dead when she is brought to the hospital.

4. Poisoned Birds
Rice is a symbol of the poisonous ideologies of our society - we are the caged birds being fed these corruptive ideas. Be it patriotism, religion or the need to conform to society. This is a poem inspired by the Romantic poet William Blake, specifically his collection "Songs of Experience".
