Recently I've been reading "Beloved" by Toni Morrison for my English class. At the same time, I've been assigned to write a piece on slavery and a character who was around during that time. The wires like veins and the fuel like blood-such was the reality of her life. She yearned to be just like them, for all she saw in herself was a wired machine made for murder and malice.
