2. That Glass Darkly, Yet Again

An older work, penned as a tribute to the poetry of General George S. Patton. It languished for a time before I finally decided to just polish it up and publish it as is. The themes of past lives and the mythos surrounding warriors of old is a theme I continue to be drawn to and I plan on penning more works confronting this theme in better terms in the months to come.

I was moved by the events that transpired in Boston. I was moved with pride at the courage of my fellow citizens, who, even those 'civilians' who had no legal obligation to render aid, chose to run toward danger to aid their fallen brethren. That valourus impulse born of baisc human compassion respresents the best of us. To them, and all the fallen, I dedicate this meagre poem.
