Author has written 15 stories for General, Fantasy, Friendship, Life, War, Fable, Nature, General, and Essay. I suppose this is the part where I'm supposed to say a bit about myself, so here goes. I'm 20, living in Texas and attending college. My house is in the middle of nowhere, but that's the way I like it. I get paid to terrorize children. In the school district I work for, you only have to have a High School diploma to substitute teach, so that's my job. I find that it's much more enjoyable than other jobs I could have and it pays pretty well. In my spare time, I read any book that catches my eye or that someone has recommended highly. My favorite genre is fantasy, though I'll read just about anything. I also like to draw (manga style and otherwise), and write. Currently I'm working on Grandmother's Fables, an idea I had and started on a few years ago, but only recently have been posting. Honest critiques are highly welcome as it is probably my most serious work to date. I apologize ahead of time for not updating in regular intervals; I'm trying to make sure it is the best it can be before I post each piece. Of course there will be edits at a later date, but I will try to put out the best possible each time I write. I owe it to those who will spend the time to read my work, and to myself. (Oh, and on a side-note to those who have read it: I'm debating on whether or not to put the fable in Ch. 2 in front of the introduction I currently have in Ch. 1. If any of you have an opinion on the matter, your input would be appreciated.) I mentioned that my favorite genre was fantasy. You may find it odd then that there aren't really any fantasy stories here. The reason? While I love fantasy, and have a whole world-- SEVERAL worlds-- formed and forming in my head, constructing original plots and characters is difficult work. It takes time, effort, dedication, and an absolute conviction that you know where you're going and how to get there. Until I have all of those, and I'm happy with the way I convey it (writing style, hehe) I'll not subject you to it. If you would like to meet the characters that live in my head, however, visit them in "The Melting Pot Tavern" in the fantasy forums. I've set it as my home page. | |||||||
