Introduction
Hey! As you may have guessed, my name is Kitty Taylor. Or at least, that's my pen name. I'm 17 years old, from Derby, England. Urm, I've been writing for a number of years, but recently I've realised it's probably the only thing that I'm good at, so I've been devoting more time to it as a hobby.
Most of the work I post will probably be prose, because the novels I write I don't like to show around. For most pieces of work I'll be asking for some gentle C&C, because I took a long time off, and I'm still rusty. There will be some old work, and some new stuff. I hope you enjoy it!
Story inspiration
A few of my pieces will probably have been inspired either by music, people or www.gaiaonline.com. If there's anything you don't understand, feel free to ask me. I need to know if what I'm writing actually makes sense, heh. My user name on Gaia Online is Psychotic Maniacal Sanity, so feel free to look me up.
Some of my favourites bands/artists are Idina Menzel, Nightwish, Within Temptation, The Goo Goo Dolls, Dragonforce, Sugarcult, and there are more. So if you'd like to listen to the songs that go with each story, then you should be able to find them on Youtube.com somewhere. Maybe not with Dragonforce, but the others should be all right. Also, I get a lot of my inspiration for Musical scores, such as the music from Wicked, Chicago, The Phantom of the Opera, Moulin Rouge, and a lot of Disney music (I'm not ashamed to admit it!)
Current Works
I'm currently working on what I would call my biggest project yet, The Women of Exos trilogy, which is aimed into discovering the true nature of Good and Evil. I'm super excited to get started with them, especially as I haven't written anything for a good three weeks because of school exams- I'm itching to get in there again! It's going to be a huge project because of it's difference to all of my other projects; The world I am creating is completely new, and having never made up proper worlds/races/names/places before that's proving to be my biggest challenge yet; Then of course we get to the fact that all three novels tell vaguely the same story, with the same major plot points, but each are twisted in a favourable direction for the narrator: Good, Wicked, Secret Neutral. As you can see, I could be here a while with it, but I don't mind. It's going to be greeeeat. Once I start writing, if you want a sneak preview, let me know-- it probably won't end up on here for various security reasons. :3 Still, I'd be happy to let people read a little bit if they wanted.
Unfinished works
Ah, I know some of you people out there may be wondering why I have a lot of unfinished work on the go all at once Cough-WickedFascination-AWorldWithoutHeroes-Cough and there's only one answer to these questions. Yes, I do plan on finishing them at some point, but I have so many ideas I find myself getting sidetracked. If it's not finished now it will be finished at some point soon, but for now I only have one complete novel, and that's not up here because it needs some serious editing... Sorry guys!
