Author has written 19 stories for Romance, Horror, Supernatural, Fantasy, Action, General, General, Humor, Life, and Sci-Fi.

Name: Grace Shisler

Age: 16 (DOB is 12/10/1992)

Height: around 5'3" ish

Hair: blonde

Eyes: blue, contacts

Personality: kind of quiet for the most part, shy, extremely close to friends, hyper when on sugar/caffeine/air

Theme song: If Today Was Your Last Day by Nickelback

Goals: Go an entire year without any drama.

Life progress at present: Flailing and attempting to quell flailage.

Little-known fact: reads romance novels, manga, fanfics, and random stuff. Okay, so maybe that's not so little-known . . .

Favorite color: black

Favorite animal: housecats

Favorite food: steak and mashed potatoes; apple pie with loads of sugary-cinnamony goo and vanilla ice cream!

Shortcomings: I refuse to do anything I think is stupid - this includes most schoolwork. It's quite frustrating, as my parents keep getting mad at me when I have missing assignments (which, you know, I understand) but I haven't been able to change my habits yet. Also I evidently fail at interpersonal relations and currently have an ongoing tiff with two of my alleged "best friends" which is upsetting.

Strong suits: good with words; hygenic; bright; easily amused

PIRATES OR NINJAS: both! Hard question

Apples or oranges: apples, orange flavored stuff

Sweet or salty: both, not at the same time

Language of choice: English or German-English pidgin, also crackhead-writer-spazzese.

Favorite class: Mythology and TAing.

Grade: presently 11th

Influences: Hikawa Kyoko-sensei, the authors Robin McKinley, Terry Pratchett, Janice Wing (also my aunt!), Margaret Weis, Tracy Hickman, Robert Heinlein, Ray Bradbury, Amanda Ashley, Takaya Natsuki-sensei, Watase Yuu-sensei, CLAMP-senseis, Arakawa Hiromi-sensei, and all the other fabulous authors I read.

Musical influences: whatever's on my mp3 player right now. Lots of emo stuff. HEDLEY omgz.

Sport: fencing, swimming, rugby (spectator! OMGz not player)

Favorite subject in school: snow day! Except that means my road sucks. German, TAing...

Favorite song in general: "You'll Be In My Heart" by Phil Collins

Playlist (what I'm currently listening to): again, random stuff on my mp3 player. Hedley is topping the list right now. "On My Own," "321," "Villain"...

Favorite band: ummmm . . .

Favorite song by them: ummmmm . . .

Favorite book: Yes. All of the above. Almost everything I've chosen to read. (Forced reads don't count, i.e. Cry The Beloved Country and Ethan Frome.)

Favorite quote: "Well... it's like that myth about the hero..."

Most memorable thing written: " ' . . . I knew your mother very well.' He turned to look out the window. 'I was very close to her. When she discovered she was pregnant, she came to me.' 'Before she told my father?' Astriella interrupted skeptically. He glanced at her. 'No. Your father was the first to know.' "

Favorite movie: V For Vendetta

Favorite celebrity: Jeremy Irons. Since I saw him in the old TV series of Brideshead Revisited, I've really admired him. He's a phenomenal actor . . . .

Favorite manga: Fullmetal Alchemist

Random quote: Live it like you'll never live it twice . . .

General about me-ness: I make friends fairly easy, but they're more casual acquaintance types unless I talk to them a lot and they stalk me. (Kidding! I don't have any stalkers. Just one golden retriever puppy.) I really love cats! I hate scooping my cat's litter box (probably TMI, but who really reads these things). I'm usually a good listener, but get me talking and I'll go on for a while or at least until I start to feel awkward and shut up from sheer OMG-ness. I'm fairly introspective, and I find a lot of flaws in myself. As a result (regrettably) I have fairly low self-esteem. I also tend to talk using long words and a lot of pauses. That only happens when I have to think about what I'm saying, though, and therefore needs to happen more often. ; ) When I'm not paying attention to what I'm saying, I say "like" a lot and "and," "um," and all other pausewords you can think of. I'm slightly more coherent when I think it through. But then I have to explain vocabulary, and it takes longer. I really hate puns being made on my name! I dress like I'm kind of emo, but I'm not. I have really eclectic taste in music. I write about some of my characters obsessively (OMG cast of Starlight and Birthright much?). I love world history, I loved my world history CLASS last year... it's full of psycho nerds like me... I firmly believe in the inherent goodness of people, perhaps because I haven't quite gotten it through my head that not everyone thinks like I do. It just baffles me that people can willingly do things to hurt others. I dunno. I tend to internalize a lot of stuff for a long time, and then be a complete tight@ about some infinitely trivial thing that probably just represents a lot of stress I've been experiencing.

and that's all I can think of at the moment! I'll come up with more later.

PS: swiped this from a FanFiction page (I reviewed a story by the person, so it's all cool). It's so true, and we need to focus on eradicating homophobia! Come on, people, free will?

I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.
I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.
I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights.
We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.
I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not let my partner of twenty-seven years into the room.
I am the foster child who wakes up with nightmares of being taken away from the two fathers who are the only loving family I have ever had. I wish they could adopt me.
I am one of the lucky ones, I guess. I survived the attack that left me in a coma for three weeks, and in another year I will probably be able to walk again.
I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.
We are the couple who had the realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one-bedroom for two men.
I am the person who never knows which bathroom I should use if I want to avoid getting the management called on me.
I am the mother who is not allowed to even visit the children I bore, nursed, and raised. The court says I am an unfit mother because I now live with another woman.
I am the domestic-violence survivor who found the support system grow suddenly cold and distant when they found out my abusive partner is also a woman.
I am the domestic-violence survivor who has no support system to turn to because I am male.
I am the father who has never hugged his son because I grew up afraid to show affection to other men.
I am the home-economics teacher who always wanted to teach gym until someone told me that only lesbians do that.
I am the man who died when the paramedics stopped treating me as soon as they realized I was transsexual.
I am the person who feels guilty because I think I could be a much better person if I did not have to always deal with society hating me.
I am the man who stopped attending church, not because I don't believe, but because they closed their doors to my kind.
I am the person who has to hide what this world needs most, love.
I am the person who is afraid of telling his loving Christian parents he loves another male.

Re-post this if you believe homophobia is wrong. Please do your part to end it.

Thanks for reading bye everyone!
