Hi everyone. It had been a while, but I will do some writing again soon. I haven't gotten gotten the chance to write much original fiction yet, but I'm working on it. I've enjoyed creating the short pieces of poetry I've published so far, so maybe in time, I'll expand on the sort of things I publish here.

I also write fanfiction. It is very different to the sort of pieces I have here - much more highthearted and informal. I have only published Stargate SG-1 fiction so far. To read my fanfiction, go to: http://www.fanfiction.net/~aligater

Here’s some information about me:
Hobbies: Writing, reading, Taekwon Do and debating.
Favourite television programmes: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Stargate SG-1 & Atlantis and Startrek Voyager.
Books: My favourite is 'When Elephants Weep' by Jeffrey Masson and Susan McCarthy. I'm also rather fond of 'The Vampire Chronicles'. I loved 'Interview With The Vampire', 'The Vampire Lestat', 'The Queen of the Damned' and 'The Tale of the Body Thief'' and I'm reading 'Memnoch the Devil'. I have read 'Ramses the Damned' - another of Anne Rice's series - but I don't think it's as well-written as the Vampire Chronicles; I feel there are far too many subplots that don't contribute to the main story very well considering that they are developed to such a degree. And I must admit, I am also a Harry Potter fan. My favourite biography is called 'Revenge' by Laura Blumenfeld.

I'm also a vegetarian. I feel very strongly about animal rights and, although I don't agree with all of their campaigns and aims, I find www.peta.org to be a very good source of information. Take a look at the video 'Chew On This'.

Lastly, I'd like to thank Beth. If it weren't for her amazing website, 'Dedicated to Stargate SG-1', I might never have gotten into fanfiction and probably wouldn't have found this site as a result. So, I would like very much to say a long overdue thank you to her.
