Hello there! A little bit about myself: I'm Ashley. I'm eighteen years old and I'm enrolled for the Fall 2009 term at Florida State College at Jacksonville. I'm starting college as an English major, but that might change. So far it's turning out to be just like high school was class-wise, except that there are more classes to choose from.

I have a thing for tragedy and angst in mass quantity, it seems. Music and writing are my biggest obsessions. When I'm reading or listening to music, I love works that change me in some way or another; sometimes the most remotely connected things make me remember something I've read, or something I've heard. I love music or writing that makes me feel, no matter how short or how long.

If you ever want to contact me for any reason, even if it's just to say hello, my e-mail is there, and I don't bite. You can count on a pretty quick reply most of the time, as long as I'm not doing something like traveling out of state to visit relatives, because I check my e-mail at least once a day. Just make sure to put some kind of notice that you're from Fictionpress in the subject line, otherwise I might mistake your e-mail for spam. I appreciate all constructive critique that I get, even though there isn't much, and I love making new friends. :)

Story Updates: All stories other than Seven Plus One have been put on the backburnerNOT ON HIATUS; I'm just not focusing on them as much right now. I appreciate your patience.

CAPTOR: Book 2 is in progress. I've finished typing it all up but it's not all posted; it's gotten pretty long, so I want to cut some out and move it to the last book. Fair Warning: Book One needs a(nother) rewrite. I fear I'll never escape it. I am continually dissatisfied with it, and will probably take it down at some point.

The Lost Art of Doing Nothing: The rewrite of "TLADN" has begun! It is indeed titled "Seven Plus One", and so far I love it to pieces. My fingers are crossed that this story will really turn out--not just for me, but for anyone who reads it. I don't have much experience with romance (in fiction or real life, sadly), so I'm going to try my best and hope for something wonderful to happen. :) For this, please give lots of love to my first and only beta: kimono3kitty. Her stories are lovely and she makes my chapters so much better because she tolerates my fanatical love of angst to a high degree.

Stefan's Story: I've got a wholly separate universe with Stefan in a composition book, which concerns the entirety of the healers' universe and the fact that they're dying out. I'm planning to combine it and the short story I'm posting here about him, and perhaps this will be the one I send off to try and get published. It'll need a lot of revision, though. There's far too much dilly-dallying in the work because of angst and daily problems. Even for me. I may or may not post the combined version here (at this point, I don't know), so that would be another good reason to drop by my LJ if you're going to want to read it. ;D
