Author has written 6 stories for Mystery, Love, and Romance.

Update: Perfect Crime is finished - at least for now. Currently editing and revising (3 of 21 done). We've been nominated at the La Campenella awards - Mystery category. I welcome your vote for either Ghost Writer or Perfect Crime. :Vote:

Please come and visit The Ghost Writer at its new home. I have taken down all but a few chapters here.

GENERAL INFO AND COMMENTARY ABOUT ME:

This is a bit of an experiment. The stories below were started with the help of friends, and I'm attempting to unify the points of view and complete several works in progress.

I habitually chase rabbits, often running from one plot/story to another as ideas strike. Lately though, I've felt a need to revisit a few creative attempts and I'm hoping this forum will push me to find the endings that often elude me.

Pictures and additional information on characters can be found on my home page.

Reviews and opinions welcome. Be warned, I will take your suggestions seriously and likely will incorporate your ideas within days if I agree with them. I tend to return reviews (over 400 given). I read alot, but don't favorite things as a rule.

COMPLETE:

GHOST WRITER

First person perspective and present tense for a change of pace. I've tried this plot a couple of times and a couple of ways. I used Nefertiry's Glass Coffin as the inspiration. We did start this together - but I think it's right that I finished it alone. As she reminds me, had we continued the ending would have been very different, and I would have hated it.

That’s what life is - a series of random events. You can’t predict the outcome of any of them.

Some lead to discovery, some to self doubt, but they all leave their mark.

This is basically done now. Thanks to everyone who helped me get to this point, offering reviews and opinions. This story was nominated for Best Twists and Turns (Keeping it Secret) at the Time is Running Out Awards, and won the Some Kind of Wonderful Awards - Best Non-Romance. Thanks for your support.

I have started to post this on authonomy. My suggestion if you wish to read a polished version -- hit the link at the top of this page. I'm leaving partial here.

PERFECT CRIME

I started this story more than two years ago with my friend C. The first draft is finally complete.

What I like most about this story is that the characters are different. The languages are fun too. Dialogue has been very enjoyable to write.

IN PROGRESS:

SECOND SIGHT (sequel to Ghost Writer)

I happen to like Hale Marcum. He is much like me. I had a dream lately, and now I think I'm ready to explore what happened to Stacy Skyler - and why Hale has so much empathy for her. Sight is going to figure heavily in this one on a number of levels.

REVISED 8/14/09 (without Nadiya in the early chapters). Poor Hale - he's not going to get the girl...

FORTUNE'S FATE

I like victorian novels. I was dared into writing a romance, and I wanted to depart as far from my traditional (think Ghost Writer) style, so this is deliberately "pretty". A reviewer said it reminded them of Wuthering Heights. I doubt it's on that plane - but that is what I was going for. It's a lot "heavier" in description, and slower than GW, but I figured to do something different.

The saga begins with young Mikal Cameresco, who tries to follow in his father's footsteps as head of a gypsy clan, with business interests in fortune telling and horse trading. But mysteries from the past reveal the promise of treasure. The prize could be a set of mystical stones, or it just might be his cousin Navah.

If you knew the future – How would you use that knowledge?

If you knew the terms of your own death – Would you follow the chosen path?

If you had a choice to protect family – What would you sacrifice?

Each chapter will feature a letter or flashback. The letters will unfold in reverse chronological order and help solve the mystery. Don't get too fixated on the point of view pattern - it will not be predictable. The plan for Chapter 16 - Navah's view and a twist in Athens. Update will be posted before the end of November.

This was nominated for "Most Memorable" in the recent round of the SKOW awards.

SOMETHING BLUE

This is complete, but for my own pleasure I will post and share a new chapter every other week. There are probably 18 chapters total. Since no one is leaving reviews, I'm no longer in any hurry to finish it.

But, deep down I want Cole and Victoria to be happy.

Cole Fallon and Victoria Bancroft have been friends since grade school. Even though they moved apart, and Cole married someone else, their bond endured. Now Victoria is back in Des Moines and planning to marry her long time boyfriend. Recently widowed, Cole realizes his true feelings for Victoria, but she says that she's already waited too long for him - that he made his choice years ago.

Can he stop her from making the same mistake he did - finding love with the wrong person?

Something blue, per tradition, is just that - a blue item that represents love, loyalty and fidelity. It is the perfect symbol of what Cole and Victoria's friendship means even as they both realize they are far more than friends.

REMOVED: ISLE

I lacked inspiration to finish. It made no sense to leave it up since I had not updated in 10 months.
