Author has written 6 stories for Thriller, Mystery, Love, and Romance. Update: Doing a continuity review of Perfect Crime before the ending is posted. C. and I might make some changes to simplify and clarify. I will log the chapters as they are refreshed/replaced. Right now 0 of 18 have been audited. Expect this process to take about 2 weeks. GENERAL INFO AND COMMENTARY: I habitually chase rabbits, often running from one plot/story to another as ideas strike. Lately though, I've felt a need to revisit a few creative attempts and I'm hoping this forum will push me to find the endings that often elude me. Pictures and additional information on characters can be found on my home page. Reviews and opinions welcome. Be warned, I will take your suggestions seriously and likely will incorporate your ideas within days if I agree with them. I tend to return reviews (over 350 given). I read alot, but don't favorite things as a rule. --current project: PC continuity review -- COMPLETE: If you only read one thing, then I'm most proud of: First person perspective and present tense for a change of pace. I've tried this plot a couple of times and a couple of ways. I used Nefertiry's Glass Coffin as the inspiration. We did start this together - but I think it's right that I finished it alone. As she reminds me, had we continued the ending would have been very different, and I would have hated it. That’s what life is - a series of random events. You can’t predict the outcome of any of them. Some lead to discovery, some to self doubt, but they all leave their mark. This is basically done now. Thanks to everyone who helped me get to this point, offering reviews and opinions. This story was nominated for Best Twists and Turns (Keeping it Secret) at the Time is Running Out Awards, and won the Some Kind of Wonderful Awards - Best Non-Romance. Thanks for your support. I am not actively posting edits for this anymore. The last set went up in November - but I still want to know what you liked or didn't like if you take the time to read. IN PROGRESS: SECOND SIGHT (sequel to Ghost Writer) I happen to like Hale Marcum. He is much like me. I had a dream lately, and now I think I'm ready to explore what happened to Stacy Skyler - and why Hale has so much empathy for her. Sight is going to figure heavily in this one on a number of levels. I just added a poll because I think I have one too many characters. I'm debating about writing Nadiya out prior to chapter 6. Focus would shift to relationship with Hale's sister. Please vote. I happen to like victorian novels. Since I've been dared into writing a romance, I wanted to depart as far from my traditional (think Ghost Writer) style, so this is deliberately "pretty". A reviewer said it reminded them of Wuthering Heights. I doubt it's on that plane - but that is what I was going for. It's a lot "heavier" in description, and slower than GW, but I figured to do something different. The saga begins with young Mikal Cameresco, who tries to follow in his father's footsteps as head of a gypsy clan, with business interests in fortune telling and horse trading. But mysteries from the past reveal the promise of treasure. The prize could be a set of mystical stones, or it just might be his cousin Navah. If you knew the future – How would you use that knowledge? If you knew the terms of your own death – Would you follow the chosen path? If you had a choice to protect family – What would you sacrifice? Each chapter will feature a letter or flashback. The letters will unfold in reverse chronological order and help solve the mystery. Don't get too fixated on the point of view pattern - it will not be predictable. The plan for Chapter 16 - Navah's view and a twist in Athens. Update will be posted before the end of June. I started this story more than two years ago with my friend C. The first draft is finally complete, but this blended version might take some extra twists and turns. Two reporters, missing persons, the church and corruption. We're closing in on the ending. Wish I knew what it was... What I like most about this story is that the characters are different. The languages are fun too. Dialogue has been very enjoyable to write. HIATUS: This piece began as a co-written role play, again with my friend Nefertiry. Up through Chapter 8 some of the text is hers. In later chapters the plot line bled into the horror genre which suits me. I'll admit I'm not terribly happy with this rewrite, the plot is sound but it needs more editing for flow. I could probably finish it in one chapter, but then I would always be unhappy with it. Better to leave it open until I decide what really needs to be done. | |||||||||
