My name is Bridgette.

I will turn eighteen in late October; I'm a senior in high school. I am currently unemployed because I used to work at Goody's, and they filed bankruptcy and closed the store. Yes, it sucked. Now, no one wants to hire me because I'm underage and there's so many child labor laws. I'm a poor kid, and it sucks.

With the exception of Connections, all of my writings on here were written during middle school when I was much younger and much more depressed than I am now. I'm considering deleting everything off here, but I don't have everything saved on my computer yet, so I probably won't. It's too much work to so all that just to make my profile look prettier. I'm even sure I'm going to continue Connections. I re-read what I had wrote, and Rose, unfortunately, is very Mary Sue. I made the ultimate mistake in writing, and I currently don't have time to invest in the story to correct it.

I love reading young adult and hope one day to be a published young adult author.

I'm going to college next fall though I have no idea where. I'm going to major in Secondary English Education. Well, for now that's what my major is going to be.

I've very recently (February 2008) gotten into photography and would love to continue this in college, but I'm not sure how well of a living I could make on that. Writing is my first passion, but I also know that I have to have a "day" job before I could write full time, so I'm going to be an English teacher. Being a teacher is always something that I've wanted to be since I was very little. My own teachers have always have a huge impact on my life. If it wasn't my third grade teacher, I wouldn't would be the reader, and consequently a writer, I am today. My fifth grade teacher was the one to encourage and try to satisfy my thirst for all things written. My high school teachers had shown me what I can do, and currently my AP Euro teacher is actually making a high school subject enjoyable for me.

I try my hardest not to judge people, but sometimes that doesn't work.

I am a Christian and go to a Baptist church. I do not agree with all the stuff my church--specially my pastor--does. However, these disargeements over little stuff have only strengthened my faith in God. I don't always act like a Christian, but I am saved and believe in God. There's nothing that can change that. This doesn't mean I'm going to preach to you or anything like that. I don't do that. I'm not a preacher. That's not my job.

I am going to participate in the National Novel Writing Month next month and hopefully I can finally complete a story. :)
