Author has written 2 stories for Romance, and Historical. rabid.bloodsucking.llama bloodsucking-llama's Story Guide A Tale for George Chauncey: George Chauncey wrote Gay New York, an important study on homosexuality from about the 1920s to the 1960s. I researched his work in an LGBT class and want to write a novel based on what I've learned from him. Just for now, I played around with the 1950s and came up with this short one-shot, which I may or may not extend. It's about Charles, who is to marry a woman who he doesn't love; but, luckily for him, she has a younger brother named Nicholas. The Prodigal Son: A psychological and emotional gay fiction one-shot influenced by The Secret Sharer. It's about an isolated priest who finds it hard to fight temptation as he meets a young villager named Ly. The Honorable Death of a Loyal Brother: My first shot at a story that's more than one chapter long! I'm pretty excited about this, especially as I got a chance to study nanshoku in pre-modern Japan. Nanshoku, or male love, had a system called shudo that was pretty similar to the ancient Greek's in that sexual relationships between an older samurai and a younger samurai were encouraged. It's nice that, in modern (mainly) homophobic times, we can realize that our society is in many ways based on homosexuality - but nanshoku definitely was not all rainbows and ice cream and frolicking through the fields. I wanted to get both sides across, both the lovely and the painful. As a result, this story can get pretty bloody and disgusting. I've cringed while writing it. I guess that means that I was at least somewhat successful though, right? I've finished this story, but I'm hoping to take any helpful advice in reviews and workshop, so that I might be editing and re-sending chapters.
