WHO'S YOUS!

CD 1.0

I'm just another writer, another goofy kid with big eyes and bigger ambitions. I love people; I love their interactions, their loves and hates and relationships. I believe that writing and psychology go hand-in-hand, and I'm fascinated by them both. Let's just hope I have something good to show for it.

I'm the sort of person who buries myself in my work because life doesn't make sense, and writing helps me puzzle it out. It gives me some understanding and hope for the future--because you never, never know what's going to happen next, who you're gonna meet, what'll stick with you and what won't. You're ideas of yourself are both precise and wrong to the point where it's almost oxymoronic, and only time will tell where you stand. I think that's beautiful in that slack jawed, raised eyebrows sort of way that nobody can hope to understand.

clears throat erm. Sorry. Kinda going through a philosophical phase right now. Bypass that.

CD 2.0

HI!

im Cave Dweller The Sequel (Cave Dweller 2.0, CD 2, Sequel, the list could go on and on), sorry for not saying much but there really isnt much to say.

No this is not one person with split personality disorder just two people who are a little bit obsessive compulsive.

i dont write too much or all that well when i do but i LOVE to read so i just want to thank you all for your great writing and dont flame me if my writing sucks...Cave Dweller 1.0 is the better writer and the one who isnt too lazy to post anything so yeah...umm im being forced to write this so i dont really know what im saying i dont have much to say...so yeah...

(Back to 1.0)

Right. So that's the two sides of CaveDwellers. Don't worry, though, CD 1 (i.e.: me) is the only one that actually writes.

DEH BIIG SHTORAYS

The Blue Rose

General: Drama/Fantasy

--COMPLETE--

Notes:

SKoW nominee for Best Non-Romance (Incomplete) in Round Seven.

Booyah Awards awarded Chapter 39, Martini Glasses Are Sexy, the title of Best Drunken Part Scene. And uh... chapter 39 doesn't exist anymore (due to edits), but it really was a funny scene concerning Kirsten, spiked punch and Halloween costumes. The story is about 10 chapters shorter now, if anybody cares. o.O'

(Seriously, it was an incredible honor just to be considered for these things, and I can't say thank you enough. This story is my baby--and what is on FP is a very rough draft--but that doesn't mean it's worth it to anybody else, and that someone else thinks it might be... well, that's amazing. You have no idea how much that means to me. :D)

Full Summary:

They told her she had a prophecy to fulfill, and if she didn’t then nothing would survive. They told her she was a desired political pawn, but that she was protected by three people she doesn’t really know. They told her it wasn’t a strange situation.

She told them that people who believe that need to be sent to the loony bin.

But maybe she does too, because they’ve managed to convince her pretty well.

So what happens when it’s not a joke? When there’s real tears, real trauma, real wrongs? What happens when it all boils down to one crucial moment, and nobody knows what to do?

They're all either going to find out, or die trying.

The Border's Reign:

The Blue Rose is intended to be the first in a series I've decided to call The Border's Reign, because they've all got the Border etc. related twist of varying importance and influence. The way it'll be structured is it'll start with The Blue Rose, but then you'll be able to skip around as much as you like. It's basically the exploration of this concept and its complications through eyes which may or may not be familiar to you. I'll be explaining principles when I need to, but for the most part this story is the background paper that will really help you understand. Perpetua is kinda part of this, but not officially since it's not canon. Splitting Hairs and Salute, however, are definitely part of this.

Perpetua

Romance: Drama/Angst

--COMPLETE--

This is an AU (alternate universe) story from The Blue Rose about Daniel and Morgan--what if she hadn't died? How would they be? What would happen? A short story, but it's been in the works almost two years now. The story is actually written in Perpetua font, but it doesn't show up on FP. :( It's 13 chapters long--sounds small, but when I first started writing this it was only going to be three chapters, so... I really didn't manage that. I like this version better, though, because 1) I like writing Daniel and Morgan and 2) their relationship needed a little more validation and explanation.

Something Like Hercules

Young Adult: Humor/Romance

I wrote the first chapter on a whim in January of '08, but didn't seriously start working on it until this year, where I hope to finish it. It's quite the change from my Border's Reign universe, that's for sure. I think I might be having a little too much fun with the cliques and Social Laws (and their breaking) but it's making the usually drab high school fic enjoyable for me. ;D My intention's to make it only about 25 chapters.

Update Status:

Chapter 12: 1 quarter of the way written. I have no idea when I'll finish it.

Splitting Hairs

Romance: Romance/Fantasy

Inspired by a oneshot I wrote a while ago, called Sincerely. It experiments with traditional role switching in a medieval setting. I don't know how long this will be--probably about 25--but it is, I think, different enough to be intriguing. My advice is not to expect frequent updates, due to my constantly busy schedule. I overbook myself a lot, unfortunately.

Update Status:

Chapter 8: Will probably be written after NaNoWriMo.

Salute

Romance: Humor/Drama

Part of The Border's Reign, and this year's novel for NaNoWriMo. Technically, it's Kirsten's story--but you don't need to know that. It is also a stand alone, so if you haven't read The Blue Rose then you'll be fine. Second draft, technically, but I'm keeping all 200 pages of the last one for my eyes only (it's pretty bad). Do expect copious amounts of cuteness, because that tends to happen when I write with these characters. Actually, that is just what tends to happen when the general theme of a story is love.

Update Status:

Trying to get something out every day. And it has become apparent that I will not manage to get this plot into 50,000 words. I'll get it in 75,000 or 80,000, probably. But that's okay, 'cause the month is still young and I still have time. My goal is to at least get most of the story written this month, so I won't feel like I have the burden of yet another unfinished story (and ultimate failure of NaNoWriMo). If it's mostly-done I'll probably have the will to finish, versus a barely-halfway-done story.

DEH GENARALL LINKSH

1)The Syrah Pineson Website. My website, actually, this one being the one I use for loosely termed "business." I don't update very often, though; just a warning.

2) Mary-Sue Quiz. Is your character a Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu? Take the test and find out. It's good for RPCs, fan and original fiction, and it's funny to boot!

3) Zombie Princess, a poem written by kougyoku. She doesn't have it written on the piece, but she told me that her inspiration for it was my poem Sweet Poison. It's cute, and I think that it's good and has a variety of meanings, both deep and shallow.

DEH BLOO ROSS LINKSH

1) The Syhrith Fanclub. Created by--to use her pen name--none other than Qzie. That's right, Syhrith from The Blue Rose has a fanclub. And to put the icing on the cake: Sequel doesn't like him. At all. In fact, since I started writing The Blue Rose, it's been an on-going joke between us that she's the president of his anti-fan club. And... well, I'm sure you understand how odd I'm finding this.

2) Casting Nines. Also by Qzie. It was inspired by chapter Mind Calculator of The Blue Rose. It's adorable. Even if you haven't read the story, read this.

3) The Frilly Pink Sock. By kleopatra218. Blue Rose fanfiction, Kai/Daniel slash.

4) Roses Are Blue. By kleopatra218. A bit of a parody.

5) The Blue Rose Fanclub. By Kleo Patra. The fanclub for the story.

6) Attack of the Cats. By kleopatra218. A Kiaan oneshot.
