Author has written 27 stories for Supernatural, General, Life, Nature, Love, and Horror. Bio - Writing is the passion in my life. No sense in denying it. I'm 21, female, live in the US. I recently graduated from Full Sail Real World Education in Winter Park, FL with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Game Design and Development. Right now I spend a lot of time writing, working, reading, gaming, and enjoying life. I recommend all of these activities to everyone ;P Writing News (Jan 09) - So, my fourth novel, Dawn Shatters, is already unbelievably long compared to the others. I don't think this is a bad thing. I recently took the plunge and posted the beginning chapters - I hope this doesn't inflict writer's block on me! Ahhh! Pressure!! Go leave me some reviews and inspire me! :D When asked what defines poetry, I'm typically at a loss. However, I found these replies from an online dictionary, and I think I can use them to start: 1.the art of rhythmical composition, written or spoken, for exciting pleasure by beautiful, imaginative, or elevated thoughts. 2.literary work in metrical form; verse. 3.prose with poetic qualities. I don't mean to suggest that everything that isn't prose is poetry. But I am rather fond of the last part of the first definition. I don't write poetry with an intent to write poetry. I write with the intent to draw an emotion - pleasure is usually a good choice, though sometimes I think I go for something darker - using what I hope are beautiful, imaginative, or elevated thoughts. Though I have been moved by the structured sonnet or rhythmic verse, I have also been moved by words clad in more unassuming and wandering styles. This is how I write my poetry, and I've been meaning to explain myself for a good while. My stories, so far, are in a universe where vampires, werecreatures, and every other kind of magic imaginable is real... humans just don't know it. I have big plans for these characters... as you'll see if you bear with me in the future. I don't know when I'll have the time to continue writing full-time, but it's never far from my mind. If you like my work, please put me on author alerts so you can keep up to date on my sporadic activity! It should be noted ... just for the record I think. I started Night Falls in or around 2000 and I completed Blood Runs in 2006. I still consider the original novels stand as a trilogy. I can't really say when I feel that entire thing is "done" because of all my editing but the bulk of the work was in those years. As of this writing they are still under scrutiny to be improved... but anyone who wants to know "When did you write all this?" Well, there you go :) | |||||||||||
