News: November 29: NaNoWriMo is almost over. I have finished my novel (almost 53,000 words) but I'm not so enthusiastic about posting my story anymore. Nobody seems to be reading or reviewing. Fictionpress has had a major decline in the six years I have been on the site. Nowadays this site seems to be all about the forums and not so much about critiquing the work of others so that they may improve their writing. It is a shame that it has happened, and honestly it is making me think about whether or not I should remain on this site.

My story this year is entitled Sanctuary and here is the summary:

Liberty Sullivan is a normal girl living in a normal world. She likes to watch fantasy and sci-fi TV and movies but believes them to be nothing more than creative thinking. Libby is grounded by her faith.

Jasper Gray moves into town unexpectedly and immediately sticks out in the small town. He is a high school student yet he has no family to speak of and he lives in an apartment down the street from Liberty. There is an intensity in Jasper's gaze that keeps people from really approaching him.

This doesn't keep Liberty away from him though. To be a charitable neighbor she takes him a basket of fruit and snacks. However, Jasper does not like Liberty...mainly because she reminds him of his past.

Then Bela Maschari comes into the picture. Bela has existed for a long time but has not actually lived for a lot of it. A curse stole her body but failed to kill her. Bela has a thirst for the hunt and enjoys taking over the bodies of pathetic humans. There's just one problem. Bela burns through those bodies quickly.

And now Bela has set her sights on Liberty.

I'm an 21 year old college student and I'm majoring in English Writing with a minor in Literature. I love to read and I really love to write. Although I mainly write stories that would fit in the supernatural, fantasy, or sci-fi genre, I'm trying to expand my horizons into romance as well.

My policy on reviewing is if you review me, I will extend the courtesy and review you as well. When reviewing me, I do appreciate all of the 'great work, update soons' but I would appreciate it if you would also tell me what you like and what you didn't like. I want my stories to be the best they can be.

The Adventures of Dish Man: Jebediah lived his life normally until, just before his parents' deaths, when he found out that he had super powers and he is to become a superhero. Two years have passed since his parents' deaths and he still doesn't know what his powers are or how to even train himself. He must figure it all out soon, or his arch-enemy could end up destroying him. (This is meant to be slightly humorous. Jebediah washes dishes for a living...who would expect him to be a superhero?)
