Atención! Rachelle (hollyisfainting) and I are writing a novel together. I know, it's awesome. It's called "The Romancing of Tuesday Dennings," and it's about a guy, Simon, who writes letters to his favorite poet, Tuesday. I write from Tuesday's point of view - and I can readily say that you're going to like it, if you like my other work. It's romantic. It's touching. It's snarky. It attempts to be poetic. It's all good. Czech out our joint profile, J. Wood and R. Ashman.

You can find my free editing website here. I'm not currently accepting new authors due to some hectic changes in my life, but please keep me in mind for future beta-reading needs. :)

FP Authors I currently work for:

hollyisfainting // A Perfect Sonnet // kte-wonderful // this is the life // JadenInk // nonsenescent // homelyy // Calah // Kay K. Dancealot // raeoflight // eccentricstar // biased

I am Jules:
a girl (though sometimes I forget I have a gender)
sixteen (going on thirty-four)
imaginary (but believe in me enough and I might solidify)
loving (of my enemies, too)
an artist (because saying you are one makes it true)
a compulsive liar (honestly)
opinionated (about politics, love lives, poetry, and shower drains)
insecure (about everything but my insecurity)
all about theatrics (even my mind speaks to me like a Broadway host)
pineapple Fanta (yummy and obscure)

I wish I were:
a novelist (with a reputation)
sophisticated (enough to wear a fedora)
able to buy Starbucks (without almost wetting myself)
approachable (no one hugs me any more)
anything extraordinaire (comedienne, dishwasher, table cloth, wordsmith)
a rubber ducky (so I could be the one)

I have a question that quite possibly details the outer limits of my ineptitude. What the Vulcan is a "Pillow Book"??

Also, I just discovered yesterday, when rewatching Little Miss Sunshine, that Paul Dano is the love of my life.

Story Art:

The magnificent Cortney made me the most gorgeous, wacky banners for Love Ya, Unc: Here! and Here!

I think she did a wonderful job choosing photos for Lacy and Scott, eh? I was thinking more Lauren Ambrose than Rachel Bilson for Lacy, but Ryan Gosling is perfect for Scott!

My good friend Jess made this graphic for me about chapter three "Obligatory Love?" of Love Ya, Unc: Presto!

The awesome Paff made me this graphic for "Episode Six: Revenge of the Spa" of Love Ya, Unc: Clickedy!

My graphics whore Andy made this banner for Tire Swing: Voila!

Currently Up:

Love Ya, Unc
(incomplete) Humor & Romance =rated T for language and sexual innuendo=
Lacy Harris' uncle, Scott, is only one year older than her - their relationship is that of best friends and siblings - but major changes in their lives bring on major changes in their relationship - changes that may have, in fact, have been simmering underneath the surface for many years - and threatens to destroy the safe, stable relationship Lacy and Scott have shared (in a whirl of tangoing, distemper, and penguin calls) for all their lives.
--Should be complete in a few more chapters!

Goodnight Saigon
(complete) Romance & Tragedy =rated M for language and violence=
Dear Jennifer,
I write you letters in my head, sometimes. Things of this nature, in greater detail. Horrific things I could never relive on paper. Feelings that I’d never be able to tell you to your face. Just know that this is what you love.
Lewis.

Tire Swing
(one-shot) Romance =rated M for language and adult themes=
Impulsive Gretel remembers her past boyfriends to her psychiatrist, Paul. The past leads her to the right person through a series of random events that ironically contribute to why she needs a psychiatrist in the first place... If nothing, proof that nothing is coincidence.

...and more. Click what suits your fancy!

On Hiatus:

End. Stop.

--I know, I know. I put it up, was uber excited about it...and then it was gone. A friend of mine made me realize how underdeveloped my characters were and how awful my writing was. I still like my concept, so I hope to pick it up again once I've got out of my absolutely-horrible-syntax groove.

Bete Noire

--Currently in the rewriting phase. :)

Classic Screamo and Other Modern Paradoxes

--I'll work on this again after all my other projects are finished and done with. :)

My Published works:

"Sushi-Grade" in A Celebration of Poets and reprinted in The Phoenix

"The Stairs" in The Phoenix

(I'm working on getting more published this summer - wish me luck!)

Coming soon:

Dicks and Dykes
Set two years after Love Ya, Unc.
Romance & Drama =rated T for language and themes=
Bernadette has remade herself; she still doesn't have a sense of humor, but she's fixed it so she doesn't need one. She's the lead singer (if you can call it that) of a heavy metal band, has a group of chill (not to mention chilly) friends, and has a crush on the newest member, a totally gorgeous, dark-skinned, dreamy-eyed guy... The catch? She's supposed to be a lesbian.
Will also star the POVs of Chloe, Nicolai, and maybe even Scott and Lacy on an aside-plotline.
