The poems on this account deal with friendship and love, life, nature and literature. Many of my poems are angsty; still, in the whole of my work elements of sadness, despair, loss and anguish are counterpoised by expressions of hope, compassion, empathy and solace.

I would like to draw your attention to one of the few stories on here, "The Unicorn", which I consider one of my strongest works ever.

What I like:
Reading, writing, painting; nature, flowers, spring, autumn, rabbits, lambs, dormice, squirrels; children's books by Beatrix Potter, the Brambly Hedge, Foxwood Tales, Winnie the Pooh and Flower Fairies series; Scotland, Ireland and Wales, Celtic cultures past and present (Tha Gàidhlig agam cuideachd.); Pre-Raphaelite paintings (especially J.W. Waterhouse); light shining through stained glass windows, the smell and sound of the sea, forests; going for long walks; good, profound talks with friends; spending time with my best friend in whatever way; and so much more ...

What I dislike:
Evil in its various forms and devious subtleties, and the suffering it inflicts on us all; so-called Christians being judgmental, narrow-minded, unloving, intimidating, pressurizing etc., and thus perverting the image of God; my own short-comings, especially if they hurt others; I’m still working on trying to like myself …
