Note: Wow, it's 2010 and I've been on this site for 8 years! And yes, I'm still alive! I'm still writing! Granted, my first story posted on here was only 12 chapters or so, when I was in year7 and incredibly immature (both in terms of writing and other things)... and yes, it was the old version of Just A Girl, and it was actually completed (which is more than I can say for my later works looks sheepish). For all of you who are still waiting for an update on Just A Girl, I promise promise promise with sugar on top it'll be out within the week, since I have annual (paid-yayayay) leave. Yeah, I'm working now! o-m-gee, and to think, I started out here as a twelve year old midget who loved to write.

It's sad though, seeing a lot of the "old" authors not updating anymore or taking down their work due to plagiarism. But I guess when we put stuff on sites like this, we're taking a risk and hoping our readers are honest people . Anyhow, this is just a quick drop in note (though I doubt that anyone is still visiting my profile page)... Also, I will be opening another account on FP, mainly because my writing style has changed and my email inbox is becoming too full. I'll update here when I put a story up on the new account.

(I frowned, concentrating. A bead of sweat was game enough to roll down my cheek as I studied the small, round object lying meekly in the centre of my hand.

Just how the fuck was I supposed to open this thing? If it was a grenade my fingers would figure it out before my brain could even think about it. But this- this was too smooth, too small, and the last time I’d checked it had no pin for me to rip at with my teeth. Damn, why didn’t these come with screw caps?! ...TBC)

With a satisfying click, she undid the clasp. The sleek black lid of her laptop was pushed back

carefully, gingerly, almost with a lover's grace. Pale fingers splayed against grey keys,

resting where they belonged. Dancing, tapping... creating.

Never did she dream that she would end up here- not when she had first started facing a

hand-me-down broken beast of a computer with a bulging, flickering yellow screen, and a

memory capacity barely enough to run only one program. That program happened to be

MS Word.

But then, it was the only thing she needed.
