My name is irrelevant. I'm sixteen, and half-way through my Junior
year of high school. I started writing when I was in elementary school.
For most of my life, I've been met with unadulterated praise as far as
my writing is concerned. As anyone who writes knows, it feels really
good to hear people gush over your work. It doesn't stop you from
feeling like you're stuck in a rut, or writing crap, or that you're
never going to be able to break out of the mediocre drivel that you
have been producing for years.
I want to improve. That's
why I'm posting my stories online. I want to know what I'm doing right,
and I want to know what I'm doing wrong. I want to know what you like,
and what you hate. Constructive critism is more than welcome; it's encouraged.
That
does not mean that I want any posts like "ew, you write about gay
people!" or "omg, that's sick!" I am well aware of the content of my
stories. If you want to comment on the content that I write about,
please focus it on a technical aspect that I could improve upon, not
your opinion about the morality of my stories. Everything else is fair
game. If you don't like my style, say so. If you don't like the flow of
my stories, say so. If my spelling or grammar is consistently wrong,
say so. But please try to give me specific examples of the parts that
you find fault with. That's the only way I'm going to be able to try
harder and improve for the next story I write.
Thank you,
Fetus in a Jar.
