'Ello, y'all. Information about me: I'm sixteen, live on the USA West Coast, and you can call me Kat. (Or Fran, if you're from the Revolution.) I've been writing for about seven years now, but only started publishing two years ago on fanfiction.net. I've still been writing original pieces but have never published any or shown them to people other than close friends or family. Even those, I rarely show anything to.
I hope to have a career writing (either newspapers, novels, short stories, ect) or editing someday in the future. My main problem with writing is that I can never decide what I'm going to write, or if I do, I include so many aspects of another story that it ends up making no sense.
My motto is a Dr. Seuss quote: "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."
I would love feedback or opinions on any aspect of my writing (or my profile) and yes, that is just my way of review-mongering.
Ongoing stories:
Luck's Got Nothing to do With it- A young woman in a cursed country breaks a mirror. She now has seven years of bad luck, and is part of a group which, according to the terms of her country's curse, is the only one that may leave the country for seven years. Accompanied by six strange, quarrelsome others and meeting such people as a child with seven years of good luck and a hapless magician, her life is about to take a turn for the worse. ON HOLD
Untitled- Not yet posted, barely started. In a world where people are given an Attribute at birth, Instinct, Intelligence, or Creativity, four children uncover the darker side of their system: those who have nothing... and those who have too much. Future story.
Exact Change- Tentative title, unposted. Why?
Quirky: The story of an unusual life, led by an unusual person.
The profile will be updated a little more as I continue writing. Happy readings!

EDIT: 7/20/07: I've now started deleting edited posts, so I'll only have five edits up at a time. More importantly, I've changed the category of Luck to "General," because it didn't seem much like the other stories I've seen in that genre. The category change may not be permenant, I'm still not sure where it really belongs.
EDIT: 8/24/07: I'm a little slow still on Luck, but it's picking up, I promise. Also, this week my story Two People Who Hate Each Other a Lot is being featured by the Review Revolution, and I'm getting some great feedback. Next week I plan to take it all and entirely edit the whole thing, maybe even change the title. So look out for an updated version coming to you soon!
EDIT: 9/6/07: School starts tomorrow, so I'll be even slower on updates. Sad. But, I completely reworked Two People based on suggestions from my reviewers and The Review Revolution. So check that out, while I worry about updating my other stories.
EDIT: 10/24/07: I've been insanely busy with school and writing Luck has been like wading through molasass. Which I've never tried, but you get where I'm going. Also, my computer died and I'm on a new one, which means I've temporarily lost my untitled story. So I've been working mainly on Quirky, meaning, I've actually written it. I only have one chapter up, but you should check it out.
EDIT: 3/4/08: I haven't been able to write lately, a combination of school and lack of inspiration. Or rather, too many confused inspirations at once that make any attempt at writing feel similar to the process of going insane. I'm trying, though. My friend and I are about to start a parody story on another site, so that might get be back on my feet.
