Author has written 1 story for Romance. Name: LK Nakahara Age: 20. That's all I have to say. Gender: Female and I think I'd like to keep it that way... Nationality: American (I wish I were Canadian, but life is a bum like that. =_=;) Ethnicity: Japanese. More specifically, Okinawan. Parents were both born and raised there and so, of course, miss their homeland and to make it up, put as much of their culture in their children. As a result, their children endure horrible ESL (english as a second language) classes and other kids made fun of their home-cooked lunches. That, and I live the scary asian stereotype of being able to play the piano, doing karate for a while, and being a terrifying, homicidal driver(though the last one probably has to do more with the fact that it's me and not my ethnicity. Who came up with that anyway?). One stereotype that I did break is the fact that I'm not skinny. Not exactly an achievement that I am proud of... Likes: writing (duh), reading, beaches, clear blue skies, barnes&nobles, birthdays, british humor, gum, laughing, chocolate covered macadamia nuts, fireworks, fairytales, bowling, books, flipflops, hawaii, piano, japan, kayaking, the feeling you get after watching a great movie, happiness, sleeping, seattle, men in suits, green tea, jasmine tea, ginger tea, reading under the covers in the dark with a flashlight, pens, mead black&white composition notebooks, sharks, sharpies, sushi, lots and lots and lots of humor, roller coasters, singing and dancing when no one's looking, whale sharks, new year's, and the joy one has when finishing a spectacular book. Dislikes: tomatoes, drama, people who think that all asians are the same, jerks who don't know any better and are just jerks, crying (esp. in front of anyone), smell of cigarettes, stereotypes, depression, hypocrites, plagiarism, touchy feely people (I mean the real EXTREME kind), crowds, huge parties, the crick you get in your neck when you sleep weird, when your computer malfunctions and deletes ALL of your unsaved work. Favorite Books: Jane Eyre, The Shadow of the Wind, Harry Potter, Grimm Fairy tales, Anderson Fairy tales, Pride and Prejudice, Terry Prachett books, The Princess Bride, Howl's Moving Castle, Ella Enchanted, Peter Pan, The Twentieth Wife, pretty much anything by Robin Mckinley, same thing with Shakespeare, also Neil Gaiman... you know... this list is going to go on forever. I quit. Apart from the fact that I like to think I'm an okay writer (not really), I have a tendency to stare out a window for an impressive amount of time, and have winning records in two well-known sports; slackerism and procrastination. I am a champion at solitaire. I am more stubborn than patient and I really do have a hard time getting really emotionally close to someone. Let's see... anything else should I include... Oh, right. I have a deadly weapon. And it's a large, black, old lady purse. Don't mess with me people. My other account: www.fictionpress.com/~maunakea This was my old account from jr. high/high school. I really want to go and finish all those unfinished stories I left behind, but honestly, I can't promise that I will. It's been quite a while since I last touched those stories and it's probably going to take even longer if I decide to rev it up again. Sorry guys, I know you've been patient. Current Fics: Die Reira: (Romance/Humor/Horror/Parody/Supernatural) The Prince of Darkness is in need of a wife and holds an Underworld ball to choose his lucky bride. But one thing leads to another, and a living, human girl gets chosen out of all (dead) people! This might seem a bit like winning the lottery, only... the catch was that one needs to be dead in order to be the Queen of the Underworld. A creepy, dark, twisted, but funny story, where the Prince of Darkness tries to convince his bride-to-be to die for love and how the girl manages to avoid the advances of death itself. Finished Fics: Ha! Good one. (No. That is NOT the title of a story.) Progress Report: Die Reira: Chapters 1-5: Complete Chapter 6: 2 percent Chapter 7: I have absolutely no idea... | |||||||||
