Author has written 29 stories for General, Family, Religion, War, Song, Friendship, Life, Nature, General, Biography, and Thriller. Hiatus breached. By the way, Hello. I've come back after a long hiatus. This was mainly due to school and the AP classes I had to take which, though positively thrilling in theory, tore everything I knew about the English language down around my ears and kept me stressing for two years of my life. Even though I was forced to change and rely on everything but the creative, I found myself relying on fantasy for clever analogies and all manner of imagery and what better portal into that than fanfiction? We analyzed all types of media and I found the same could be said for drabbles, trilogies, and such based on literature; I began to see things in a different light, including my old work. I was determined to keep the older works up here, just to remind myself of what I had to work for. Eventually I might get around to changing or updating them, but for now I'm taking it slowly. Plus, I still haven't gotten enough critiques. During that time, I was still writing, and, thankfully, getting better at it. My style changed a little and so did my tastes. It became a hobby and one that rarely got me posting. I mostly did this at my livejournal: http://miri-away.livejournal.com/ I love criticism. I love reviews. I crave opinions of the deep kind, the long discussions. I give as I hope to get, so when I get in the mood to tell anyone what I feel it ends up (for some) distressingly/hopefully detailed. Most of my ideas don't make it to the computer as I'm just now getting back into the groove. It's a very involved art, this. Trying to chug along without support is very tiresome, but it's just the beginning, so I'll let it slide. Me: I'm an American girl who cannot tell you how she chose this screen name. Though it is known to both my siblings, I refuse to change it because I thought of it first. So there. At 18, I'm currently looking for different outlets of my various (sometimes short-lived) creative projects, but this place has always been great for general exposure. I was here before they banned rpfs and NC-17-- frankly, that's how I learned the great facts of life as well as how to carry on a drama-drenched story for ages, thus initiating my thirst for fanficcy fame; that said, I'm a bit old school. I don't understand the forums or "C2" things and have seen so many changes here it no longer bothers me when I see silly little screen-play stories because, hey, they might still be letting that happen. Cats and snakes are my picks over dogs and fish, though I'm still the caregiver of all four, plus ferrets. I'm very supportive of animal rights and am the sort to help strays and almost-punch someone for abusing one. I tend to treat my maine coons like my babies, though they insist we are nothing more than codependent friends. I'm the type of person who, if given the right incentive, could literally become a recluse; however, I have friends, a band, and a family that force me out every now and then. Getting put out of one's comfort zone every now and then is a great way to refresh a stale existance. I have a lot to complain about, but do this rarely and only when I'm about to snap. I am very tolerant, some would say overly so. I'm open minded to a lot of things and give out supposedly "great, empathy-drenched" advice (though I'm not the person to ever take advice except when it comes to art). I don't like ignorance and will try, every now and then, to beat it away without preaching; if it fails, I'll have tried and earned the right to grouse. My motto in this is: "If you don't try to understand it, or fix it, or try it, don't whine about it." I'm an Aquarius. I was born in the year of the snake. I believe in reincarnation, you, and, on good days, the weatherman. I follow through with superstious rituals even though it's a habit more than anything. I'm Agnostic. While at times I can be practical to a fault, I can be as unrealistically anchored as the next kid. Possibly because I'm an Aquarius, I believe most of this is because I'm an Aquarius. Remember, I love challenges, prompts, and collabs. Discussions are greatness. Generally, I find the time to return the favor.
